Marriage Stories is a podcast about the riskiest two words a person can say when they love someone, “I Do”.
People everywhere around the world have been getting married for the past 4000 years. This ancient institution has inspired some of our greatest art, started and ended wars, and remains a centerpiece of human civilization.
And yet, we don’t have a universal formula for wedded bliss, there is not a linear path that a Marriage takes. There are seasons of drudgery, monotony, and even boredom. There are also seasons of joy, the kind that stops you in your tracks as if to say, this, this is what life is all about. Then there is grief, loss, and devastation. The kind that can only come when you love someone enough to risk it all. But ultimately, there is the triumph of two humans deciding to make a marriage work in spite of it all.
Every couple has to write their own story and make their own sense of this immense journey.
This podcast is all about these stories. Listen in as Marriage Therapist Trevor White sits down with a diverse group of real couples across the lifecycle that are making their marriages work, each in their own unique way.
Join us every week as we hear real people talk about Love, Marriage, and the stories that we live to tell.

Planning is for some a way of living life. You have your major in college that leads you to grad school that leads you to your first job that gets you a network that allows you to get the “good job”. You meet someone and date for three years before getting engaged and then planning a wedding. You have the two years together as a married couple before you try and get pregnant and then you start your family. However, for so many couples, this is where the plan goes awry. What do you do when your perfectly laid plans break down? You take life one day at a time.
