It's been a while since i've had a minute to do another Guestjam, due to moving back to the UK and learning a brand new field of work and my smooth transition and exciting new career prospects are all down to this kind gentleman, who also happens to be an old school friend of mine. I sat down for a cuppa on a fine summer morning, with the one and only David Tildsley from Unique Outdoor Living LTD to talk about what it takes to survive in the building game.
The full story of why i was forced to leave my life and son in Vietnam and return to the UK.
This has been the main reason for the long delay in my podcast but i'm back.
Adam guy is one of Manchesters well known local legends, who has djied in some of the worlds best venues, alongside most of House music's heavyweights.
We discussed our similar dj journeys, a mutual love of vinyl and tried our best to recall our dazy and crazy clubbing shenanigans, without spilling too much of the milk.
Local legend, Scott Thomas rised through The Manchester City School of Excellence, into the Youth team to finally go head to head with some of footballs biggest superstars. A serious leg break at an early age halted his dreams but his positive attitude led to another success story.
Manchester born Dj and event organizer Christopher (Bucko) Buckley joins me in the studio to talk about our love of music and what it takes to be a dj and promote a festival with over two hundred bands and five thousand people. All in the name of Charity.
My first dj residency, The Peaky Blinders, Rocky Steps Of Lancashire, Legendary Fred Dibnah and my favorite spot to eat in town. Welcome home.
I was given two free tickets from England International and Man City Superstar Defender John Stones, to finally enjoy my first live football game at my beloved Man City.
An inspirational walk in the park.
Ghostbuster Dogs, The Indiana Jones Host of Latin America, Climbing the scars after the epic volcanic eruption of the Tungurahua, waterfalls in Banos, eating Guinea Pigs and writing this infront of the mighty Chimborazo.
My first plane since leaving the USA. Greeted by one of my lifetime friends and amazing hosts in Quito, whose house was a one stop party shop everyday for like minded souls.
Meeting the Miss Universe ladies, my first professional photoshoot with one of Ecuador's number one Djs and photographers, enjoying the most amazing homemade Ceviche, my first World Cup Football game, getting smashed in 'The Mariscal', visiting the beautiful city of Guapulo, jungles of Mindo and the real centre of the world, fighter jets and djing the biggest couchsurfing event in history and watching a real murder take place.
Quito was amazing.
Getting High In The Mountains Of Colombia.
Staying in the luxury end of the capital city, Bogota, getting smashed on Nectar, Giant Tamales, Zona Rosa, Bife Chorizo, understanding El Rebusque, djing on the 40th floor of the epic club Cha Cha, a stroll through the wonderful Candelaria, staying in an ancient Finka in Subachoque under a full moon, a trip to the Salt Church in Zipaquira and a cable car to the top of the world 'Monseratte'.
This wraps up my three month love affair in Colombia..
Next up i will be spending eight months in Ecuador.
One of my favourite cities in the world, the stunning Medellin. A hike to 'Cerro Nutibara', a drinkers dream come true, the mighty Jirafa, Crepes and Waffles, strange exotic fruits of Colombia, a new home in the awesome Sabaneta with my little rainbow, the most amazing latin mother, partying in the Poblado, a human dog, Aquardiente escapades, Churros, Spanish classes, Pablo Escobars Grave, an interview in the 'El Colombiano Newspaper', hosting my first ever tv show at 'Piedras Blancas', Paragliding in San Felix, a day trip to 'Peidra De El Penol', a breakdancing move gone wrong in front of 1000 people, the Medellin Vs National famous football derby, and having to say goodbye to one of the true loves of my life. AGAIN!
This was a trip of a lifetime full of love and excitement.
Boarding the ancient town of Cartagena, with a police boat escort from our Pirate ship, we enjoyed a few local beers before the immigration even came and stamped our passports.
A beer crawl around the city with my fellow pirates, I was greeted with an inter-dimensional warrior guide in his full native attire, except I was the only one who could see him.
Djing at a cool spot with some of the hottest girls on the planet, before trekking to the Lost City of Tayrona, through Tomb Raider mazes in the vast northern jungles of Santa Marta.
Not a bad way to kick off my trip through one of my favourite countries on the planet.
Tuy has an exceptional and very unique life story to share.
Born during the Vietnam War in 1971, his mother got sick after birth and had no choice but to surrender her son to a local Orphanage in Sa Dec, in the countryside of Vietnam.
Tuy then contracted Polio at the age of one from drinking the local water and was classed as an abandoned child with no family visitations for the first three years of his life.
Can you possibly imagine that kind of start to life?
He was then adopted and blessed with a wonderful family with famous ancestors and immigrated to The U.S.A with his earliest memories mostly spent in hospitals having multiple operations and corrective surgery.
Bound to crutches for the rest of his life, he never said never, and did all he could to fit in and live a normal life.
He would later return to Vietnam many years later, to rediscover his roots and find two huge needles in two separate giant haystacks.
A car crash then bounded him to a wheelchair with only one functional hand, but his spirit never gave up.
This story will warm your heart and inspire you to be a little more productive with your time and if you're having a bad spell in life, take notes and listen to the master of optimism.
I'm very proud to call him my brother and thankful for such a genuine and sincere conversation.
We captured a magic moment.
A true local legend in Saigon.
If any story deserves to go viral, it's this.
Oh wait, it already did, many times.
True story tellers, not only tell stories but we love to share them too.
One love.

Robots can't cry.
Could Tolkien and Tesla have a mysterious connection?
There's no more wild genes, obviously!
A microscopic look at how a simple hand gesture can actually be an incredibly big statement.
