On April 4 in 1968, 130 cities throughout America had riots following the murder of Martin Luther King. James Brown was scheduled to perform on the next day in Boston on April 5, but fearing that rioting would happen, officials considered cancelling the concert. James Brown convinced the Mayor that he could control the crowd which he did.
Today, Tony Wilson (The Young James Brown) gives tribute performances remembering The Godfather of Soul", and the historic moment in musical history of James Brown in Boston.
Mr. Wilson has a song of his own remembering James Brown called "Fight the Power". He has a message telling the world to come together and that there is no need to fight.
