Lord of Adders Black: A Blackadder Podcast
Bonus Episode 6: “Ted Talk”
Down with this sort of thing! (Careful now.)
One of our ideas for bonus episodes was to introduce each other to sitcoms that we love. This time around, Ian initiates Michael into the weird and wonderful world of Father Ted, which was hugely popular in Britain and Ireland in the mid- to late 90s and, like Blackadder, is still widely loved, watched and quoted to this day.
In this special “Ted Talk”, we examine why an oddball comedy about three priests on a remote island should strike such a chord with audiences – and special guest Fearghal Traynor pops in to share a few insights about the innate Irishness of Father Ted.
