Today's episode is a new Ramblings & Musings one where I catch you up on what I've recently finished, what I'm currently watching, and what I'm looking forward to checking out! I even have a list of dramas that I'm not sure I want to watch, so I call out to you to hear your thoughts on those!
Please check out this episode to hear what I've been up to in Kdramaland, or dramaland in general...I might have mentioned at the end of the episode something about a CDrama!
Today's episode is the promised What Went Down episode for Our Unwritten Seoul!
I didn't think this would be such a standout moment in dramaland for me this year, but it surprised me. I really thought this drama would be on my drop list after the first two episodes, but I kept picking it up each week.
Listen to this episode to find out my final thoughts on Our Unwritten Seoul and why this drama was such a meaningful highlight of my Kdrama year!
Today's episode is another Ramblings & Musings! I had to catch you all up on how my June in Kdramaland has been! This episode is a throwback to my old Ramblings & Musings, where I would categorize the dramas I wanted to discuss and share some quick thoughts about each one.
So, I hope you enjoy my fast and dirty reviews on dramas like Mercy for None and Tastefully Yours, my quick initial thoughts on The First Night with the Duke, and my desperate pleas to you to help me figure out which drama I should start next!
Listen now if you don't mind some good ol' fashioned ramblings and musings!
Today’s episode is a new What Went Down one where I let you know my final thoughts on the thriller, Nine Puzzles!
It was highly recommended to me, so I had to forego my aversion to the dark and creepy Kdramas to check it out! And there’s—THE Son Suk Ku, so I made the exception!
Spoilers are ahead in the episode, so check out the episode if you’ve watched the drama already or if you’ve had the reveal spoiled for you! Or if you have no plans of ever watching it, I highly recommend listening to this one! I don’t go into the gory details, so I spare you there, but you get a full rundown on what went down in Nine Puzzles!
Let me know your thoughts on this drama in the comments!
I'm BAAAAAAAAAACCKKKK! They tried to keep a girl down, but they couldn't!
No, I'm just kidding! All has been well, but I know I have some explaining to do regarding my absence from the podcast over the past two months! But never fear, I'm back and with all my excuses!! So, please hear me out!
Additionally, I'll bring you all up to speed on the dramas I started before my impromptu hiatus, which may or may not be currently on hold. I also let you in on the dramas I skipped watching, despite being quite excited for them, and I've shared with you what I've actually settled on watching and where my head is with those dramas right now.
So, it's a classic Lola's Ramblings & Musings episode with lots of rambles on a lot of Kdramas! Please take a listen and let me know your thoughts on any or all of the dramas I discuss in this episode.
Happy to be back! Love you guys!
Today's episode is short and sweet, well, maybe not that sweet, but it's certainly short. I bring back my Quick Pop-Off episodes with some thoughts on Friendly Rivalry. I'm not finished with this drama yet, but I decided to drop in and say a little bit about it because I'm liking it!
So, listen in now to hear me pop off quickly about Friendly Rivalry!
Today's episode is my Women's History Month/International Women's Day edition episode! Or really, it's my Catch a Vibe w/Lola episode, where I do nothing but talk about some of my favorite female character archetypes (character types) and give you a few of my favorite examples of those types! It's also my first episode in a long time with an interactive component or a call for your submissions! If you've been around since my "I Pop Off about Kdramas, How about You?" episodes then you'll be familiar with this! But if not, after you listen to this episode, you can find the Google form in my bio and in the episode description on Spotify to participate! There will be further instructions on IG, so keep an eye out for that. I can't wait to get your responses and look forward to the fun!

Today's episode is a new ramblings and musings! This one feels reminiscent of a more chaotic time in the podcast where I talked about way more than four dramas at a time in these episodes, but it's still not as bad as it used to be! But in this one, I will fill you in on Kdramas that I'm currently watching, like My Dearest Nemesis and, yes, Chunhwa Love Story. And then I also give you some insight on what I'm still hoping to watch, but just having gotten around to, like The Potato Lab. Let's also let you in on two upcoming dramas that have me beyond excited like Way Back Love. Then I close the episode to update you on the only drama I recently finished watching and spoiler alert...it wasn't a Kdrama!
Buried Hearts (11:51)
Chunhwa Love Story (22:11)
My Dearest Nemesis (37:10)
UndercoverHigh School (45:46)
FlourishedPeony(59:02)
Today's episode is the return of my What Went Down/Final Thoughts episodes! I thought it would be perfect to bring these back with a nice and short drama like Study Group.
In this episode, I give you a little rundown on my initial, midpoint, and final thoughts on this drama and let you know how it compares to one or two of my favorite high school webtoon adaptations in the recent years.
Listen now to see if this short action-comedy high school drama left any sort of impact on me!
Today's episode is a new Ramblings & Musings one where I catch you all up on where the podcast episodes have been this month! I had a busy February, so the podcast took a little backseat. However, with this little break in our regularly scheduled program, I was still working on things to come for the podcast. So, in this episode, I give you a sneak peek at what to expect all March long for the podcast. There'll be weekly episodes and IG posts for you to interact with!
If you forgive me for my absence this month, please listen to this short episode to get excited about what's ahead in March!
Thank you guys for being the best. I hope you'll be around for Lola Pops Off about Kdramas next month.
Today's episode is a new Throwing it Back w/ Lola one! I know you weren't expecting a return to these so quickly, amiright?!
But today's episode is a special Valentine's Day edition! I thought long and hard to find a classic rom-com Kdrama to discuss for Love Day and landed on My Name is Kim Sam Soon, aka My Lovely Sam Soon. Now, was that the wisest choice...well, you'll find out after checking out this episode!
So, listen now to see if this 20 year old Kdrama stands the test of time and provides us with all the romance we desire on such a day as this!
Today's episode is another Catch a Vibe with Lola one! In these episodes, I take a laidback approach to discussing something on my mind about Kdramas (or Kdramaland), and for this one, I decided to take it really easy and go over what's coming up in February in Kdramaland. I had planned another topic for this CAV episode, but I needed something a little more focused so I bring you a breakdown on what's coming up and what I plan to watch! So, join me in this episode for an unedited, chill discussion on Kdramas coming soon in February!
We're back to our Ramblings & Musings episodes with a roundup of another four dramas! In this episode, we discuss two Kdramas I recently finished, What Comes After Love and The Trunk, as well as two that I'm currently watching (or am I?): Love Scout and When the Stars Gossip.
For some reason, I believe this episode will make you laugh, even though I don't know if there was anything funny about any of these dramas.
So, check out this episode now to hear what bad jokes I have for you and to find out how I really feel about these dramas.
Today's episode is a special Catch a Vibe with Lola one! In these episodes, I take a laidback approach to discussing something on my mind about Kdramas (or Kdramaland), and for this one, I take you on a journey through Kdrama eras to discuss some significant genre moments! Yes, I am bringing you an entire episode with me rambling about Kdramas and their genres! It's not an in-depth discussion of specific genres but more like a realization of how Kdramas and their genres have been moving and shaking. So, join me in this episode for an unedited, chill discussion on Kdramas and their genres!
Today's episode is another Ramblings & Musings one with my thoughts on only four dramas! I'm trying, I really am...trying to pare it all down but I definitely have picked up on the number of dramas I'm watching. Help! But yes, this episode will focus on two dramas I'm currently watching and two dramas I recently finished watching. I even give a little tiny update on drama I mentioned in the last episode...listen in to find out which one (also, spoiler: it's When the Phone Rings).
So, tune in now or whenever you need something to listen to in the background of whatever you're doing to hear my thoughts on Good Partner, Virtuous Business, The Tale of Lady Ok, and Check in Hanyang.
If you have any thoughts on these dramas too, please share them with me!
Today's episode is another Lola's Ramblings & Musings where I discuss just 4 dramas! I know! Who am I? But I'm definitely enjoying taking it easy and not dumping on you all my thoughts on 13 different dramas in one episode! Instead, I share with you my overall thoughts on Brewing Love and Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born and give you my midpoint thoughts on Love Your Enemy and When the Phone Rings. I also include questions for you all about your thoughts on these dramas, so don't forget to leave a comment below or find me over on IG or send an email.
Heeeeyyyy....how y'all doin'? It's been a long time and so I owe you a long, vulnerable episode about where I've been, my relationship with Kdramas, and the future of this podcast. Bear with me as I try my hand at this podcasting thing after being away for so long. It's definitely NOT like riding a bike...I feel like a baby bird being thrown out of the nest again...
Leave a comment letting me know which dramas from the last 6 months you would highly recommend! Make your case, but no major spoilers please!!
Today's throwing it back episode as some of you may have guessed is The King 2 Hearts! This is our first episode with two lead actors from other throwing it back episodes starring as leads again! In this one we go back to 2012 when this drama had me on the hook every week, coming back for more and more of our enemies to lovers main couple! However, after a rewatch, does my love for this drama remain the same...?
But as you know, in this season, I've been jumping around the past 20+ years of Kdramaland to find and rediscover what it is about these small screen masterpieces that make me love and appreciate them so much. It's also been a journey for me to return to my beginnings of watching Kdrama and remember what things I've learned from watching them and what more I hope to learn as I continue watching them! So, listen now to find out if my love for this drama remains or if there are some things I now see with mature eyes that alter this drama on my faves list!
Today's episode I'm throwing it back to a Baeksang Awards nominated Kdrama: School 2013 from 2013, of course! This drama isn't your fun high school Kdrama, it's one of those realistic ones, and yet, it's still one of my favorites. I had such a meaningful and moving experience rewatching this drama after 11 years and was almost a little surprised at how this drama means much more to me now than it did the first time I watched it. My time discussing this drama in this episode is the biggest testament to why I'm even doing this season of Throwing it Back!
Because as you know, in this season, I've been jumping around the past 20+ years of Kdramaland to find and rediscover what it is about these small screen masterpieces that make me love and appreciate them so much. It's also been a journey for me to return to my beginnings of watching Kdrama and remember what things I've learned from watching them and what more I hope to learn as I continue watching them!
So, join me for an episode where I express my undying love for Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin's friendship and one of the best bromances featured in Kdrama history!
