The Tennessee Titans DESERVED TO LOSE their Week 11 matchup with the Houston Texans after the offense stunk up the joint and the coaching staff once again went with an overly conservative approach. These are issues coming out of a bye week that you simply cannot accept. Part of the offensive struggles came from Cam Ward, who was off for most of the day and has accuracy issues that have to be watched going forward. However, Ward has a practice squad crew of receivers out there at the moment and the coaching issues mentioned before to overcome. Finally, the defense deserves praise, for the most part, as they held down the Texans offense for most of the day before collapsing under the weight of the offense.
The Tennessee Titans come out of the bye week with a home game against the Houston Texans. The Texans shutout the Titans in Week 4, 26-0, but this game should be significantly closer. For that to happen, the Titans must attack backup quarterback Davis Mills. Mills is a fine backup who has beaten the Titans before, but he struggles most under pressure and the Titans can only get that pressure by sending the house. On offense, the Titans must create explosive plays and that will require Calvin Ridley to be good in his return from injury and the Titans offensive tackles to stand on their head. Finally, the Titans probably won't find a way to win, but the game will be close enough to be won and that means 6.5 points is a winning line!
The Tennessee Titans got shutout by the Houston Texans in Week 4 of the season and now have their opportunity to get some revenge as they host their division rival. That doesn't mean the Titans can do it, but the extra motivation and coming out of the bye week should give them a bigger chance. The Texans could be without starting quarterback C.J. Stroud, but backup Davis Mills has proven to be effective and has beaten the Titans before. A lot of this game will come down to the defensive lines as the Texans sport one of the best in the NFL and the Titans could be getting back Jeffery Simmons. Finally, the run game will be the big factor that determines this matchup and that doesn't bode well for the Titans.
The Tennessee Titans exit the bye week needing desperately to turn things around in the second half of the season and they should have multiple opportunities to do that with five out of eight at home and some beatable opponents on the ticket. However, you could question whether winning would be what is best for the Titans considering the draft position, but the Titans young players need to feel some wins and play better football. A lot of that will be on Cam Ward and Ward must play better football in the second half. He doesn't have much help, but it would be nice to see Ward have one breakout performance at some point. Finally, on the defensive side of the ball, we may finally get a long stretch of Jeffery Simmons and T'Vondre Sweat on the field together and determining the future of that pairing will be critical to the offseason.
The Tennessee Titans return from the bye with the worst record in the NFL. We discuss keys for the second half of the season. We also dive into why it's imperative Cam Ward shows progress and give our first-half MVP's.
The Tennessee Titans did not play in Week 10, but things went about as well as they could for the Titans during the bye week. A lot of teams vying for the top pick with the Titans got wins and the Titans didn't lose a football game! Getting the top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft would be a big boost to the rebuild. Finally, let's put a cap on the first half of the season and take a look at who has been playing well(Titan Up) and who has been playing poorly for the Titans(Titan Down) so far this season.
The Tennessee Titans have mostly sold on their 2025 season, but the future is what can bring Titans fans hope. What does that future look like? The Titans need to identify who they can build around like Cam Ward, Jeffery Simmons and Peter Skoronski, but they also need to figure out who is NOT a part of the future like L'Jarius Sneed and Tony Pollard. The Titans can then focus on their biggest needs which remain at edge, wide receiver and now, cornerback. This calculation will then allow the Titans to use their wealth of assets which consist of nine draft picks and what could be over $100 million in cap space. Tyler breaks down every aspect of the Titans offseason ahead from a roster standpoint as we exit the bye week.
The Tennessee Titans season is not going as they had hoped which means another high draft pick is on the way and three players, Rueben Bain, Arvell Reese and Jordyn Tyson, currently lead the pack as options and would all be a great fit for the Titans in April. However, Reese is a bit of a dark horse and will create a tough conversation. The Titans also need to make moves in free agency, but with it being a bit of a weak crop, the Titans need to be smart and identify calculated options. Finally, with half of the season gone, the Titans are getting closer to a proper coaching search and Mike McCarthy and Robert Saleh are now at the top of the list.
Tennessee Titans General Manager Mike Borgonzi finally address the media on Wednesday to discuss the state of the Titans roster, the trade deadline moves and any other questions thrown his way. It was a good reminder that Borgonzi does know what he is doing and he is the right guy to fix this team. Borgonzi gave details on Jarvis Brownlee Jr, Roger McCreary and Dre'Mont Jones as the trio was traded this season, confirming the logic behind the moves. Borgonzi also discussed the talented rookie class and Jeffery Simmons, who are the building blocks of this program going forward. Finally, Borgonzi gave an update on the coaching search and his partnership with Chad Brinker and it gave fans a lot of optimism for the future.
The Tennessee Titans made no moves on trade deadline day leaving Titans fans frustrated, but even though the Titans didn't make any exciting trades, they made two "deadline deals" when they traded Dre'Mont Jones and Roger McCreary. The Jones trade specifically was excellent and now that we know the final conditions, it looks even better. A lot of players who weren't traded remain as well like Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard and Chig Okonkwo and it should be no shock that they are players who are part of helping Cam Ward. Finally, the New York Jets made a few big-time moves and even though the Titans weren't involved, the Jets activity is great news for them as the Jets are one of the most likely teams to move up for a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans are 1-8 entering the bye week. We take a look at the rookie draft class and evaluate each player's performance at this point in the season. With the trade deadline just hours away, we analyze the moves the Titans have made as they look to rebuild the roster.
The Tennessee Titans are expected to be active before the trade deadline on Tuesday and that is no surprise, but what has been a bit of surprise is the availability of second-year defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat. Sweat being on the trading block is a rejection of Ran Carthon and his type of player, but it isn't a rejection of the draft and develop mantra. Sweat isn't the only player on the trade block as the Titans are looking to dump multiple players like Calvin Ridley, Arden Key and Dre'Mont Jones. Finally, while most are at their lowest, Tyler is here to say he believes in what Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi are doing for the time being and want to give them a chance to build their vision.
The Tennessee Titans lost again, this time to the Los Angeles Chargers and once again the Titans were held back by their coaching staff. Specifically, on the offensive side of the ball where Mike McCoy and Bo Hardegree found a way to ruin any chance the Titans offense had at success. Outside of the coaching though, Cam Ward also struggled for most of the game. While he continued to be plagued by drops and spotty protection, the reality is Cam Ward's biggest issue continues to be his ball control and his ability to just hold the football with his below-average hand size. Finally, the Titans could make numerous trades on Monday and names like T;Vondre Sweat, Dre'Mont Jones, Calvin Ridley and Arden Key are heavy in the rumors. Sweat is the only one that is a shocker, but if you've been paying attention it shouldn't be.
The Tennessee Titans take on the 5-3 Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9 as massive underdogs, but this is a perfect spot for an upset for the team. To do so, the Titans will need to get the ground game going on offense and rely on their YAC weapons to make plays. Tyjae Spears, Chim Dike and Chig Okonkwo in particular need to have good games against the Chargers defense. On defense, the Titans are clearly outmatched, but there are a few spots where they may get an advantage and that start on the defensive line with Dre'Mont Jones and T'Vondre Sweat. Finally, the Titans will need a little luck as well and if Justin Herbert has a bad game with some turnovers, there is an opportunity to secure a victory.
The Tennessee Titans take on the Los Angeles Chargers this week and it will be a battle of quarterbacks with Cam Ward facing Justin Herbert. If the Titans hope to get a win, they will need Ward to outduel Herbert when the game is on the line. One of the issues is the Titans secondary is full of secondary players as all three starting cornerbacks at the beginning of the season are now gone and we will see three backup cornerbacks. This could ruin the game for the Titans against a great weapons group. Finally, if the Titans are to get a victory, they will need to take advantage in two areas -- run game and turnovers.
The Tennessee Titan took another big loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but Cam Ward had his best game of the season so far. Ward showed his high level arm talent, playmaking ability and even showed his progress with reading defenses. There were still issues that need to be cleaned up, but fans should be excited about Ward's progress over the past two weeks. The Titans offensive line had maybe it's best game of the year as well despite four sacks as players like JC Latham, Dan Moore and Peter Skoronski continued to play good football with Latham getting back on track. Finally, rookie safety Kevin Winston finally got some real run on defense and didn't do anything to stand out, but that is a good thing.
The Tennessee Titans traded away cornerback Roger McCreary. It's just a sign of more moves to come before next week's trade deadline. We discuss the other possible moves the Titans will make. Plus, how detrimental has the coaching staff been to Cam Ward's development.
The Tennessee Titans made one of what could be many trades coming soon as they shipped cornerback Roger McCreary to the Los Angeles Rams with a swap of late round picks. This is step one in what could be a full-on tank job from the Titans down the stretch of this season. McCreary could just be the first of a few trades that could took place before next week's deadline and names like Calvin Ridley, Arden Key and Tony Pollard should be at the top of the list of candidates. Finally, Mike McCoy had some interesting answers recently that show he was the perfect candidate to lead this tank job, and McCoy knows it.
The Tennessee Titans lost big to the Indianapolis Colts once again this season and once again coaching was a primary component. Mike McCoy routinely made conservative decisions that you simply can't make when you are trying to pull an upset like the Titans were. However, we saw some good things on the day that should be exciting to see. Cam Ward had a nice game and was held back by his coaching and weapons once again although Chim Dike performed again. The offensive line had a pretty good day as well. Sadly though, the defensive side of the ball needs so much work and it emphasizes once again how far away this team is from a roster perspective from being where they need to be.
The Tennessee Titans are massive underdogs going into their Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts and considering odds are low the Titans can win, this week is a perfect time to start the youth movement. That begins with better play from Cam Ward though, who needs to bounce back from a rough performance in Week 7 that included three turnovers. He could use some help from fellow rookies like Gunnar Helm, Chim Dike and Elic Ayomanor while also getting some protection from JC Latham and Peter Skoronski. On defense, the Titans will need a huge game out of T'Vondre Sweat as he is set to play without being flanked by Jeffery Simmons against the NFL's best rushing attack. He will get some help from Cedric Gray who continues to impress at linebacker. Hopefully, we see more Kevin Winston on defense this week as well.
