"Listen up future Nurse?!" We are here to serve the next generation of black nurse leaders by capturing black aspiring nurses in the pre-nursing phase as they apply to nursing school. As the "Black Pre-Nursing Coach", my mission is to be the "voice of consideration for Black future nurses". From our online school and social media to our podcast, I am excited to share my years of experience everyone I serve. It is well known for Black Health, that its helps to have someone to take care of you that looks like you espcially with similar lived experiences. To make sure that happens, black aspiring nurses need to know what to do and how to get there. It helps in the jouRNey to hear from someone that's been where you've been and where you're headed. ABOUT THE GUEST:
Lanesia Cephus, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly a decade of experience. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, and her Master of Nursing Degree from Governors State University in University Park, IL. Passionate about community health, Lanesia serves underserved and underinsured populations, driven by the words of her junior college professor: "What will you do for your community once you graduate?" Beyond her clinical work, Lanesia is an intercessor prayer minister and the author of "Pray That Word: Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say" and "Pray That Word: Pretty Girls." Her upcoming release, "In Jesus Name, I AM," offers over 150 affirmations for personal and spiritual empowerment. Lanesia also shares her expertise through her YouTube channel, "Healthy Community, Wealthy Community," where she delivers content focused on mental health, chronic disease management, obesity, preventative care, and safe sex education. Married to her husband Antonio, Lanesia cherishes their blended family of nine children and numerous grandchildren.
