She earned her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, and her Master of Nursing Degree from Governors State University in University Park, IL. Passionate about community health, Lanesia serves underserved and underinsured populations, driven by the words of her junior college professor: "What will you do for your community once you graduate?" Beyond her clinical work, Lanesia is an intercessor prayer minister and the author of "Pray That Word: Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say" and "Pray That Word: Pretty Girls." Her upcoming release, "In Jesus Name, I AM," offers over 150 affirmations for personal and spiritual empowerment. Lanesia also shares her expertise through her YouTube channel, "Healthy Community, Wealthy Community," where she delivers content focused on mental health, chronic disease management, obesity, preventative care, and safe sex education. Married to her husband Antonio, Lanesia cherishes their blended family of nine children and numerous grandchildren.
