Die eine begann ihre Karriere als Tänzerin und Musikerin, bevor sie Lichtkunst schuf, die andere wechselte von der Architektur zum Design, wo sie einen spannenden Umgang mit Materialien pflegt. Beide verschieben die Grenzen traditioneller Kunstformen, indem sie moderne Technologien einbeziehen. Beide lieben es, interdisziplinäre Kräfte zu bündeln und das Licht als zentrales Element ihrer Arbeit und ihrer Aussage zu nutzen: Licht formt die Wahrnehmung, es schafft den Raum und gibt den Werken die Dynamik, es erweckt sie zum Leben. In Folge 25 von Light Talks begrüßen wir die in London lebende Vorarlberger Designerin und Architektin Sofia Hagen und die Vorarlberger Malerin und Licht-, Video- und Klangkünstlerin Miriam Prantl.
One started her career as a dancer and musician before creating light art, the other moved from architecture to design, applying an exciting approach to materials. Both are pushing the boundaries of traditional art forms, integrating modern technologies. Both love combining interdisciplinary forces and sharing light as a central element of their work and what they want to state: Light forms perception, it creates the space and gives their pieces a dynamic, it brings them to life.
