In episode 10 of Light Talks, the Zumtobel Group Podcast, acclaimed Mexican architect Frida Escobedo discusses her process of having created this year’s annual report of the Zumtobel Group, entitled “The Book Of Hours”, which has become a very personal exploration of light through her private collection of 24 objects. Escobedo emphasizes the profound emotional connection between time and our experiences, highlighting the collaborative effort with her two sisters – poet and photographer – in the report's creation. She also touches on the challenge of balancing client requirements with personal expression and shares her sources of inspiration and what her creative processes are like. The conversation concludes with an exploration of the contextual exhibition at the Zumtobel Group Light Forum in Dornbirn, offering unique perspectives on the collectibles included in the book, presented under different lighting scenes. The exhibition can be seen until the end of March 2024.
