For this weeks episode, Emily will be talking about friendship breakups. They're such a normal thing that occur in life but society has made it out to be something horrible. These breakups don't always have to occur because of something toxic. It could simply be because both sides grew up.
High school for some people can mean that it is the best year of our lives and for others, it is the worst. Being a junior right now, Emily isn't super fond of the experience. She shares her experiences and lessons that she wished someone had told her before entering high school. These four years of our lives consists of competition, judgement, anxiety, and even falling out of love with something that meant so much to you once.
In this week's episode, Emily talks about her experiences with feeling stuck in the same routine and burning out. It has been a rough year for everyone and especially during these times, it puts a huge toll on one's health. Whether that be developing unhealthy eating habits, depression, or having no desire to even text someone a word back. This episode just consists of her personal relationship with burnouts.
Trying to find a good book to read can sometimes be really difficult and frustrating. In today's episode, Emily will be going over some tips that can help you find the perfect book to read! Reading slumps are also a common occurrence that can happen to many readers. Sometimes you just can't bring yourself to pick up a novel and read; which is completely okay. But you may want to get over this slump as soon as possible in order to read that book that you're looking forward to. Emily then goes on to talk about ways that have helped her get over these reading slumps.
In this week's episode, Emily talks about how she pictures her life after graduating from high school, diving deep into raising kids, marriage and college. The future has always been something that she gave a lot of thought to, worrying about whether or not, her way of living would be considered "successful" in societal norms. Do you need to follow the structure that was given to us by society? Does everyone only have that one soulmate that you're supposed to spend the rest of your life with? Is letting your child not go out very often okay? And do you really need to invite your family members that you dislike to your wedding?
A new year has just begun and it's the perfect time to start fresh, and live your life the way you want to. The trend of wanting to be the "main character" has been evident in these past few months, as we can see on various social media platforms. In today's episode, Emily gives tips on how to realistically be the main character of your dreams. If you feel like you are stuck in the same place, and want to feel better about yourself, life, everything around you, try some of these tips out! They might help you be more in control of your own life. Your life is a painting and you are holding the brush.
2020 has been a life-changing year as we all know. Emily goes on to talk about the lessons she has learned and the challenges that she has also faced in that year; whether that be about the friends/ people around her or simply the way she implemented changes in her lifestyle. However bad or good 2020 was, Emily is looking forward to the next year. She discusses her goals that she wants to complete in 2021 along with events that she is looking forward to.
