Did God really make a man and name him "Dirt?" He sure did! Todd and Paul talk about creationist beliefs in Genesis chapter 2. They cover all the basic creationist beliefs from the creation of Adam (AKA "Dirt") to the planting of the Garden of Eden to the naming of animals and the creation of woman. Also: Did it rain before the Flood? (*SPOILER* YES.) Where is Eden? (*SPOILER* It's gone now.) And what's up with all the agricultural hints in this chapter? Check it out in the latest episode of Let's Talk Creation!

Were the Flood waters filled with chemical contamination? Did Noah and company leave the ark to find a world poisoned with toxic sludge? In their latest episode, Todd and Paul chat with chemist Aaron Hutchison about the toxic elements arsenic and mercury. Dr. Hutchison explains his research on these dangerous elements and what would have happened to them during the Flood. Listen in and find out how the Lord preserved us from toxic contamination!

Everyone says that Genesis 2 contradicts Genesis 1! Could everyone be wrong? Join Paul and Todd as they discuss the alleged problems with Genesis 2 in this latest episode in our Creationism 101 series. From the name of God to the creation of birds, Todd and Paul take on eight contradictions and find most of them wanting. The detailed creation of Adam is definitely different from the creation week, but rumors of contradiction are greatly exaggerated.

We often hear the claim that creationism is a recent theological error, but there have been young age creationists for most of the history of the church. In this episode, Todd and Paul chat with Warren Johns about the Scriptural Geologists, a group of creationists active during the earliest growth of the science of geology. Back before geologists were geologists, there were still creationists holding the faith! Learn all about them in this week's episode of Let's Talk Creation!

Plate tectonics tells us all about how the continents are drifting along at a centimeter or two a year, ever so gradually reshaping the surface of the earth, remaking the ocean floor, and causing earthquakes and volcanoes the world over. But what if it went a lot faster? In this episode, Todd and Paul chat with geophysicist Sarah Peterson about the CATASTROPHIC version of plate tectonics that has become the leading model of how the Flood happened. Sarah walks us through both the basic concepts of tectonics and how Catastrophic Plate Tectonics explains even more than the slow, conventional version. Sometimes the fossil record preserves some really astonishing traces of past life, including footprints and even burrows! But how can there be burrows if the fossil record were formed by a singular, catastrophic flood? Leonard Brand wondered this very same question and set out to try to understand how much of a problem this really is. Todd and Paul chat with him about his research on fossil burrows and learn the shocking reality of the fossil record. There just aren't that many burrows at all! What does this mean for the flood or for long age geology? Find out in this latest episode of Let's Talk Creation! #creationism #creationscience

With yet another Jurassic Park movie in the theaters, popular attention once again turns to dinosaurs, so Todd and Paul made a dinosaur episode! Special guest and T. rex expert Matt McLain tells us all about these "tyrant kings." Where do they come from? What were they like? And most importantly, how can a creationist understand the place of Tyrannosaurus in God's good creation? Check out this latest episode to get the full scoop on T. rex, king of the dinosaurs!

We’re resuming our Creationism 101 series! In this episode, we take a look at the doctrine called creatio ex nihilo. Is it really important that God created everything from nothing? Paul and Todd review all the biblical passages that support creation from nothing and how the early church supported this doctrine. The power of our God is manifested in this, that out of things that are not He makes whatever He pleases!

How did slow animals like sloths get from Noah's Ark in the mountains of Ararat to the jungles of South America? Is that a death blow to creationist thinking? Paul and Todd give some basic answers to this question and more in their latest episode as they wrap up their short series describing the world after the Flood. Listen in on their conversation to find out how the residual catastrophism of earthquakes and volcanoes and glaciation combine with ideas of diversification within created kinds to explain how animals got to their present homes. All that and sloths too!

Just what are created kinds anyway? The created kind forms a central part of creation biology, and kinds can even be used to construct a simple post-Flood chronology. In this new episode in our "After the Flood" series, Todd and Paul talk us through all the ins and outs of created kinds. If you've ever wondered what kinds are and how they relate to the Flood, this episode is for you! All that, and Rama the Cama too!

Ever wonder what happened after the Flood? In this first episode of a three-part series on the world after the Flood, Paul and Todd present a basic outline of the geology and climate as the world recovered from the greatest catastrophe it has ever suffered. The ground was shaky, giant volcanoes blew their top, and it rained a lot! The aftershocks of the Flood continue to devastate our world even today! Check out this episode for all the details, as Todd and Paul begin exploring the world After the Flood.

Geologists Marcus Ross and Tom Zoutewelle join Paul and Todd in this special episode! Last year, Paul and Marcus attended a creationist conference in France with Tom, and in this episode Todd learns all about French geology. What sort of rocks can we see in the Paris Basin? What is the Paris Basin anyway? How does the Paris Basin display the geology of the Flood? Find out in this episode!

Forty-five years ago, on May 18, 1980, Mt St Helens erupted and changed creationism forever. The explosion showed us how rapidly geological features could form during a catastrophe and gave us a laboratory to understand the formation of coal. The deadly eruption also reminds us to heed the warnings of coming destruction and judgment. With so many warning signs, no one needed to die at Mt St Helens unless they chose to stay. Join Paul and Todd as they chat with Bill Hoesch, director of the Mt St Helens Creation Center, about this milestone in creation research!

As Paul and Todd continue their series on natural evil, join them as they chat with Nate Labadorf about curses in the Bible. In the Ancient Near Eastern culture of the Bible, curses went hand in hand with blessings. You can't understand the one without the other. As we look to the curse pronounced in Genesis 3, it's important to look even closer to understand how it relates to blessing. Nate takes us through all of these points as we ponder the consequences of the curse in creationism.

Join Paul and Todd as they chat with Joel Brown, the director of the Van Andel Creation Research Center at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, Arizona. With a PhD in genetics, Joel became a high school teacher in St Louis and then felt led to take on the leadership of the VACRC, the historic research lab of the Creation Research Society. How does the center work? What are they working on? And how can we be involved? Find out in this new episode!

In this fascinating episode, Paul and Todd resume their discussion of natural evil with special guest Dr. Rahel Wells. If the world we live in is the same way God made it in the beginning, what does this tell us about God's care for the animals? On the other hand, if God really does care for the animals, how might that care shape our view of creation? Dr. Wells walks us through scripture's teaching about animals and explains what we should do about it. This is a unique conversation you won't want to miss!

Paul and Todd welcome Stephen Lloyd back to the show to talk about the Cambridge House project. This past year, Biblical Creation Trust launched a student ministry in downtown Cambridge with the goal of building a residential study center to help train a new generation of thoughtful creation researchers. In this episode, Paul and Stephen discuss the vision of Cambridge House, their current status, and what it will take to make it a reality. If creation was originally free of disease and suffering, why do we have such an immune system? Our defense against dangerous germs is intricate, elaborate, and effective, and clearly it was part of God's design for our bodies. So what was the point? Paul and Todd are joined by creation immunologist Joe Francis to discuss the wonders of the immune system, how much of a blessing it really is, and what more it does for us than just police our bodies for germs. This episode is part of our intermittent series on natural evil.
