What’s better quality, quantity, perfection, doneness? I’m NOT SURE, you tell me (@lokate). This episode is mostly deep thoughts, from deep in the back of my broadcast closet.

I let my friends and family know that I started a podcast, and this is how it went. This is basic stuff, but sometimes basic stuff is good (hello frappuccinos).

Whelp, now that this experiment is on iTunes, what’s the plan for future episodes? Same thing I plan every time, Pinky, try to take over the world! Also in this episode: listener feedback for the first time ever.

I’m so excited that Apple approved the podcast to show up in iTunes, I’m only sort of sad that my mic rubbed on my shirt and made an annoying swishy sound the whole time.

Longest episode yet, but so worth it. If you get to the end of this one, and follow my tips, you too have a real live podcast on the internet for all to hear! Here are the links I mentioned to help you get all set up, and on your way to iTunes approval:

A couple follow up tips on branding. Last ones before you publish, promise! This time I wrote down what I wanted to talk about before the episode (and it still sounds a little scattered, but I didn’t leave anything out … mostly).
What do you need before your voice hits the netwaves? Pretty much just a name for your podcast and a little logo/artwork. Nothing fancy! Here’s a bit about how I chose this podcast name and logo.
Here’s a little clarification on what this podcast is all about. And, some assurance that I do care about audio quality (promise). Not enough to buy a mic, but enough to get out of my moving car. Love you, bye.
This is the very. first. episode. ever. of Let's Start a Podcast. It sounds really awful. This show didn't have a name when I recorded it.
I just got in my car started driving to work and thought, "I should start a podcast about how it's not that hard to start a podcast, dang it."
Turns out audio quality is not my forte, right out of the gate - but it will get better as we go along!
And, if you're reading this - something seems to be working.
Love you, Laurel
p.s. It's spelled with a K - @lokate
