EP 8 Prophet Salih aleyhisalam - When a Nation Killed its Miracle -   In the story of Salih and his people the Thamud, we see the dreadful depths to which humanity can descend. They were given the very sign they themselves demanded,  yet they still rejected it when it came. They were willing to destroy not only the sign, but the Messenger who brought it to them.

Prophet Hud aleyhisalam was sent to the powerful and skilled people of Aad, the descendants of the people of Nuh. People of blindness they were, who knew of Allah and of the Great Flood and yet the wisdoms and warnings were utterly lost on them!  They flat-out rejected the honored status conferred on them by their Lord and allowed their gifts to turn them into tyrants across the land.   

  If you could enter and ride that Ark of Mercy, ah, if you could enter and ride, you would taste the sweetness and certainty of Allah’s Mercy and all fear would leave you. You would utter,  ‘What has he gained, who has lost Allah? What has he lost, who has found Allah?’

You stayed with your people for 950 years and they would never listen to you, and now, Allah has made sure that everyone on this planet has heard of your story, through generations untold! Peace and blessings to you from all the worlds of beings.  

Shaytan really is our enemy to this day. He's still working to keep his promises. But Allah Mighty and Majestic reassures repeatedly that He is closer to us than our own jugular veins in our neck, and even closer than that! He is dividing our very cells, spinning our very atoms! He is closer to us than Shaytan could ever think of being!

The one being in all of creation, the human, who accepted the burden of knowledge, was created from the most valuable substance on the face of the earth, without which there would be no life -   صَلۡصَٰل  مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ salsaalim min hama-im masnoon  ringing clay, made of mire, black with decay  Surah Hijr (15:26, 15:29, 15:33)

The majestic, everlasting and infinite Power of Allah called forth an exquisite kaleidoscope of celestial bodies whirling through space. Out of that space emerged a single unique resplendent treasure of a planet called Earth, with capacities and qualities and miracles that – so far –  no one has been able to detect anywhere else in the whole vast universe.

Imagine a time before there was an earth, or a moon, or a sun, or even a sky, when there was no thing at all, anywhere. And yet, there was a presence, a reality – though it could not be seen nor heard, not felt nor tasted nor smelled...
