DEUTSCH:

ENGLISH:
Imagine your doorbell rings all night. It happened in Schwabach, Bavaria, and neighbors could not sleep. It is about 0:30 am in Schwabach. In an apartment on Benkendorfer Straße, the doorbell keeps ringing. People think of pranksters. They call the police. Officers arrive and are checking the entrance and the street. No one is there. The ringing is still going as the officers study the doorbell panel. They see a small, slow visitor: a slug. The slug is crawling over the metal plate and the sensors. Each move touches a contact, and the bell rings. There was a shiny slime trail on the nameplate, so the police lifted the slug and set it on the nearby grass, and the bell finally fell silent. The case ended with laughs and relief - no crime, just a tiny city visitor. At last, the neighbors slept, and the story quickly spread beyond Germany.
