中文(zhōng wén) 里(lǐ) 有(yǒu) 一些(yī xiē) 语气助词(yǔ qì zhù cí)
There are some modal particles in Chinese.
我们今天一起来看看吧
我们(wǒ men) 今天(jīn tiān) 一起(yī qǐ) 来(lái) 看看(kàn kan) 吧(ba)
Let's take a look at them together today.
第一个：吗
第一个(dì yī gè)：吗(ma)
The first one: "ma"
主要是用来提问
主要(zhǔ yào) 是(shì) 用来(yòng lái) 提问(tí wèn)
It is mainly used to ask questions,
尤其是问 “是或否”
尤其(yóu qí) 是(shì) 问(wèn) “是或否(shì huò fǒu)”
especially yes-or-no questions.
“你吃饭了吗？”
“你(nǐ) 吃饭(chī fàn) 了(le) 吗(ma)？”
"Have you eaten?"
“今天开心吗？”
“今天(jīn tiān) 开心(kāi xīn) 吗(ma)？”
"Are you happy today?"
如果没有“吗”
如果(rú guǒ) 没有(méi yǒu) “吗(ma)”
Without "ma",
句子不太完整
句子(jù zi) 不太(bù tài) 完整(wán zhěng)
the sentence is not very complete.[kəmˈpliːt]
“你吃饭了？”有一点怀疑的感觉
“你(nǐ) 吃饭(chī fàn) 了(le)？” 有(yǒu) 一点(yī diǎn) 怀疑(huái yí) 的(de) 感觉(gǎn jué)
"Have you eaten?" carries a slight sense of doubt.
“今天开心？”有一点怀疑的感觉
“今天(jīn tiān) 开心(kāi xīn)？” 有(yǒu) 一点(yī diǎn) 怀疑(huái yí) 的(de) 感觉(gǎn jué)
"Are you happy today?" also carries a slight sense of doubt.
第二个：呢
第二个(dì èr gè)：呢(ne)
The second one: "ne"
表示疑问
表示(biǎo shì) 疑问(yí wèn)
It is used to express question,
有一点点好奇地问
有(yǒu) 一点点(yī diǎn diǎn) 好奇(hào qí) 地(de) 问(wèn)
with a slight tone of curiosity.
“他在哪儿呢？”；
“他(tā) 在(zài) 哪儿(nǎr) 呢(ne)？”；
"Where is he?";
“你喝咖啡还是喝茶呢”
“你(nǐ) 喝(hē) 咖啡(kāfēi) 还是(hái shì) 喝茶(hē chá) 呢(ne)”
"Do you want to drink coffee or tea?"
“这个问题该怎么解决呢？”
“这(zhè) 个(gè) 问题(wèn tí) 该(gāi) 怎么(zěn me) 解决(jiě jué) 呢(ne)？”
"How should we solve this problem?"
如果没有“呢”，区别并不明显
如果(rú guǒ) 没有(méi yǒu) “呢(ne)”，区别(qūbié) 并(bìng) 不(bù) 明显(míng xiǎn)
The difference is not obvious without "ne".
也可以表示轻微的感叹
也(yě) 可以(kě yǐ) 表示(biǎo shì) 轻微(qīng wēi) 的(de) 感叹(gǎn tàn)
It can also express a slight exclamation. [ˌekskləˈmeɪʃn]
“今天的天气真好呢”。
“今天(jīn tiān) 的(de) 天气(tiān qì) 真(zhēn) 好(hǎo) 呢(ne)”。
"The weather is really nice today."
“这本书我好像看过呢。”
“这(zhè) 本(běn) 书(shū) 我(wǒ) 好像(hǎo xiàng) 看过(kàn guò) 呢(ne)。”
"I seem to have read this book before."
“他还没回来呢”
“他(tā) 还(hái) 没(méi) 回来(huí lái) 呢(ne)”
"He hasn't come back yet."
第三个：吧
第三个(dì sān gè)：吧(ba)
The third one: "ba"
可以表示建议或请求
可以(kě yǐ) 表示(biǎo shì) 建议(jiàn yì) 或(huò) 请求(qǐng qiú)
It can express suggestions or requests.
“咱们走吧”
“咱们(zán men) 走(zǒu) 吧(ba)”
"Let's go."
“你也来试试吧”
“你(nǐ) 也(yě) 来(lái) 试试(shì shi) 吧(ba)”
"Come and have a try too."
“帮我拿一下吧”
“帮(bāng) 我(wǒ) 拿(ná) 一下(yī xià) 吧(ba)”
"Help me take this, please."
如果没有“吧”
如果(rú guǒ) 没有(méi yǒu) “吧(ba)”
Without "ba",
“咱们走”就更加像命令
“咱们(zán men) 走(zǒu)” 就(jiù) 更加(gèng jiā) 像(xiàng) 命令(mìng lìng)
"Let's go" sounds more like an order.
“你也来试试”就有点生硬
“你(nǐ) 也(yě) 来(lái) 试试(shì shi)” 就(jiù) 有点(yǒu diǎn) 生硬(shēng yìng)
"Come and have a try too" sounds a bit blunt.
“帮我拿一下”也像命令
“帮(bāng) 我(wǒ) 拿(ná) 一下(yī xià)” 也(yě) 像(xiàng) 命令(mìng lìng)
"Help me take this" also sounds like an order.
所以“吧”有点“好吗”的意思
所以(suǒ yǐ) “吧(ba)” 有点(yǒu diǎn) “好吗(hǎo ma)” 的(de) 意思(yì si)
So "ba" has a similar meaning to "okay?".
“帮我拿一下好吗”
“帮(bāng) 我(wǒ) 拿(ná) 一下(yī xià) 好吗(hǎo ma)”
"Help me take this, okay?"
“吧”还可以表示猜测
“吧(ba)” 还(hái) 可以(kě yǐ) 表示(biǎo shì) 猜测(cāi cè)
"Ba" can also express guess.
“这应该是他的吧”。
“这(zhè) 应该(yīng gāi) 是(shì) 他(tā) 的(de) 吧(ba)”。
"This should be his, I think."
“这个橙子不酸吧？”
“这(zhè) 个(gè) 橙子(chéng zi) 不(bù) 酸(suān) 吧(ba)？”
"This orange isn't sour, is it?"
有一种“对吧？”“是吧？”的感觉
有(yǒu) 一种(yī zhǒng) “对吧(duì ba)？”“是吧(shì ba)？” 的(de) 感觉(gǎn jué)
It has a tone similar to "right?" or "isn't it?".
第四个：啦
第四个(dì sì gè)：啦(la)
The fourth one: "la"
表达完成或变化
表达(biǎo dá) 完成(wán chéng) 或(huò) 变化(biàn huà)
It expresses completion or change,
比“了”更轻松活泼
比(bǐ) “了(le)” 更(gèng) 轻松(qīng sōng) 活泼(huó pō)
and is more relaxed and lively than "le".
“饭好啦！”
“饭(fàn) 好(hǎo) 啦(la)！”
"The meal is ready!"
“天黑啦！”
“天(tiān) 黑(hēi) 啦(la)！”
"It's getting dark!"
“我把衣服全洗完啦！”
“我(wǒ) 把(bǎ) 衣服(yī fu) 全(quán) 洗完(xǐ wán) 啦(la)！”
"I've finished washing all the clothes!"
