I’m joined by TheAstroHistorian this week to discuss CIG’s apology, event extension, and overall communication in the year of playability, and how it may change going forward.

Every year, the same question. Today I’m joined by 10Pound42 for a follow up to ourrecent look at the year of playability. With 4.2.1 releasing to quite a few problems and an event that has left players unable to enjoy the game. In the year of playability this can be frustrating, but it’s notthe end of the world. While the game is ABSOLUTELY NOT DYING, we will be looking at the problems that do continue to hold it back, and what CIG could do to remedy these problems. Hope you enjoy!

After 12 years of development Star Citizen is still adding the initial mechanics and features to Star Citizen, officially that should mean it’s still an alpha, but CIG is treating things a bit differently.
Regular maintenance, updates every week, more permanent narratives, and in-game rewards all hint at a game trying to move on, but with so much still missing, is it really ready? Or is it all semantics that don’t matter anyway? Join me as I discuss with Twitch streamer Xerostate.

Today I will be discussing the upcoming changes to the flight model as they were recently discussed by developers at CIG. Star Citizen will be taking a step in the simulative direction with a little artificial help, as it improves atmospheric flight, and tightens the overall experience. From the removal of top speeds to the inclusion of engineering in said speed, there’s a lot to learn!

With Alpha 4.2 upon us and players getting hands on with the latest in-game activity, I thought it was a good time to sit down and discuss the effectiveness of these “sandbox activities” and whether they are driving the game towards the 1.0 CIG has promised.
