In this episode, we welcome Noahroxit, the August winner of our So You Wanna Be A DJ contest! Noahroxit walked away with a $100 Evel Pie gift card and secured his spot in the upcoming finale, where the grand prize is a DJ time slot at Off The Grid Campout 2025.
Tune in to hear Noahroxit’s story, his journey in the Las Vegas EDM scene, and what drives his passion for music. You won’t want to miss this inspiring conversation as he prepares for the big stage.
BIO:
My name is Noah, also known as Noahroxit, and I’m a DJ. I started learning how to DJ when I was 15, and I strive to keep going until the day I die.
I originally began as a Dubstep DJ, inspired to create mixes and remixes of nostalgic songs I grew up with. When I first started playing shows, I was in college at Temple University in Japan. Living there taught me that being a DJ is more than just mixing songs—it’s about being open-minded.
I play songs from different genres, artists, and sounds, many of which I had to learn on my own. My goal is to be the kind of DJ people can depend on—someone they can relate to and express themselves through. I try not to limit myself to one genre, because I want to show people that all music is beautiful in its own way.
I intend to be the best I can be, so I can prove that no matter where you come from or what you like, you can become anything.

In this episode of the Las Vegas EDM Podcast, we're thrilled to welcome Thor Wixom for the first episode of our third season. Thor has significantly impacted the electronic dance music community through his work in videography, capturing over 30 music festivals each year, including iconic events like EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, Lightning in a Bottle, and the recent EDC Thailand. During today's podcast, Thor shares exciting news about pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a music producer and DJ.
THOR WIXOM - EDM BIO
Thor Wixom was born in Provo, Utah, where he grew up listening to his parents' 8 tracks and vinyl, always favoring artists that used electronic sounds. He craved EDM, but it hadn't been invented yet. As a teen in the 1980s, he latched onto the sounds of artists like Depeche Mode, Dead or Alive, 808 State, Information Society, and any dance remixes he could get his hands on.
In the early 90s, electronic dance music had finally emerged in the warehouse party scene, and Thor felt like the sound he'd been craving his entire life was finally a reality. He fell in love with trance and, soon after, house music. In 2013, Thor was introduced to Skrillex and dubstep. He called all the other EDM genres and told them he'd met someone. Thor's love of bass music has been consistent ever since. Hence, Thor's nickname… The God of Bass.
Thor's greatest loves were EDM and working in Hollywood as a cinematographer and Steadicam Operator. In 2016, he was allowed to combine these two great loves by filming the iconic music video for Don't Let Me Down by the Chainsmokers. The track shot to number one on the EDM charts, and the music video was nominated for an MTV Music Video Award (VMA). As of this writing, it has been played over 2 billion times on YouTube. Thor's work was nominated for one additional VMA and the playlist of all his music video work has over 7 billion combined views. He has shot music videos for artists like Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Katie Perry, Bad Bunny, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyga, and G-Eazy, to name a few.
Because of his work with The Chainsmokers, Thor was invited by Insomniac to join their media team. He's been a prominent contributor to their media efforts ever since, starting with the 2016 Escape trailer. Today, Thor continues to add to the EDM media pool at Insomniac events and events like Bass Canyon, Lost Lands, and Wakaan Festival.
Look for Thor at your favorite EDM music festival this year! He's hard to miss with his bright orange braids, which are 6 feet long and often have LEDs installed in them. He's very friendly and will always do his best to say hi between getting his shots. If you're lucky, he'll hug you and take a quick pic with you! If you're super lucky, he might even film you!
Thor is currently launching a new career as a bass DJ. You can hear his music and mixes on SoundCloud at THORGODOFBASS, which is also his Instagram handle.

In this episode of the Las Vegas EDM Podcast, we have our friend from Utah, Sudo. In this episode, Sudo spoke about ecstatic dance and how he got into the rave scene, and he shared a bit about his past experiences.
Bio:
Sudo:/ (Jonathan) became enamored with electronic music in 2010 after befriending a deep house DJ in Orlando, Florida. Each weekend of that year was spent going to underground deep house shows. The sentiment that stuck with him then was that electronic music was "the cry of the machines." The factory workers of Detroit created it as a testament to the bondage of industrialism and the freedom of music. Since sudo:/ has been an avid raver diving deeper into the underground electronic music scenes in every place he has lived, befriending more DJs, and becoming one himself.
In the last year, Jonathan has created two DJ monikers, (Rococo) in which he plays organic deep house, trance, and psytrance, and (sudo:/) where he plays hard, melodic, and progressive techno, and one of his personal favorites Schranz. He has also started an event promotion company, Revolution, which promotes electronic music events in Southern Utah, a place with a significant lack of electronic music culture. Currently, he partners with the Audio Alchemy DJ collective in St.George, Utah, throwing free raves in the Utah desert.
