Three weeks in the books, and most of the league is off to a hot start with five teams at 2-1, and the East Coast division is putting up big points with an average PF of 353.

There is a good chance that by the end of week 4, Tim and Gabor could be at 3-1. Will the East Coast division continue putting up big points? Can Shane get his first win of the season? All that and more ahead in week 4.

Welcome back! Here we are for Season 6 of the LWR Fantasy Football Dad's League podcast, and the season has kicked off with a bang.

First-time champ Tim will be attempting to repeat as champion this season (something that hasn't happened in 11 years), Gordon will be chasing his first title, and I'll be trying to make the playoffs with my Fantasy Football Pros "F" rated draft team. And I kept CMC... yeah, it's going to be that kind of season.

We're back! After taking a couple of weeks off due to back-to-back hurricanes, we now find ourselves in the back half of the season heading into week 9.

It's been tough sledding thus far for everyone but two owners, the only two owners with winning records. No one else. In fact, an entire division has no one with a winning record. No thanks to the disappearance of all the WRs.

Week 9 doesn't provide much help as several owners find themselves with a tough draw, despite Yahoo projecting big points for all teams this weekend. Will Tim extend his league lead to 7-2? Will Sean FINALLY exercise his Monday night demons, or will Gordon have the last laugh? What a season.

Week 2 is now in the rearview mirror, and I feel like this is a replay of last season when virtually no one could remain upright. Everyone but Gordon had vital squad members go down with injuries, and some owners have already filled up their IR slots. If this keeps up, we'll all be playing with backups and waiver wire pickups.

Week 3 could see an early division leader further separate himself and set up a potential 4-0 start, while our current champ is hoping to avoid the dreaded 0-3 start. It's going to be a great week of games!

So excited to be back for the 2024 Season as we start our 10th season of the Lakewood Ranch Fantasy Football Dad's league and our 5th season of the podcast! With our draft and week 1 in the books, surprises abound. Shane kept the wrong Robinson, Jason drafted a kicker in the 6th round and has a dumpster fire of a WR room as a result, CMC's late scratch cost an owner the W and subsequent stint on the IR adds insult to injury, and finally, kickers still doing kicker things and putting up big points. And that was just week 1. Week 2 sees multiple owners staring at a 0-2 start, including the current Champ. And at least one owner already looking to make a trade. Bonus, next week Sean will start a new segment of Hard Rock Bets and DFS locks as we all can use all the help we can get. We took a week off, but now we are back and we are heading into the home stretch of the regular season. Week 8 saw the high water mark for top weekly points get reset, Sean lost on Monday night by .4 points, and Gabor is on an absolute tear through the league with a 5-game win streak.

Week 10 brings the dreaded "week 10 bye" as several high-powered offenses are taking a break at it's having an effect on the outcome of this week's game. Can Gabor make it 6 wins in a row? Who will take the lead for the final playoff spot? Can Doug take down Ricky's Steamboat Dreamboat for his 3rd loss in a row? It's going to be a great week of fantasy football!

We've crossed the midpoint of the regular season, and last week's rivalry week played out as expected. Ricky Steamboat's Dreamboat extended their lead in the Pretty Boys division to a 6-1 record, Animal Steele's Backhair took down the new league juggernaut, and Sage Yahoo Autodraft is riding a 3-week win streak heading into week 8.

With week 8 on tap, it's another key Mauler's division matchup with the Junkyard Dogs taking on Animal Steele's Backhair, Sean's Bam Bam Bigelow-ver? squad looks to sever Andre's Giantsland 3-week win streak in a get-right game, and can Savage Nation make it a 3-way logjam in the Mauler's division...it's going to be a great week.

Week 7 is here; it's the midpoint of our regular season and the first rivalry week of our 2023 season, with big games riding on the Sunday night Philly / Dolphins matchup.

In week 6, Sean's bad JuJu reached God-level status after losing by 0.6 points on Monday night, roster and waiver wire management is becoming an issue for several owners, and we birthed another juggernaut when the games were over. It was a heck of a week 6 in the 2023 season.

We're nearing the halfway point of the season, and the themes we've been seeing all season are pretty much cemented. Kickers continue masquerading as WR2s; more big points were put up last week, trades are still happening, and the waiver wire activity is on straight fire.

As we look forward to week 6, we're expecting kickers to continue to put on a show, we're going to get some separation in the Maulers division, and Gordon should birth a new league juggernaut by the end of this week's games. It's going to be a heck of a week.

With week 4 in the books, there's no shortage of points being scored as we're looking at some of the highest points we've ever had this early in a season. In addition, as you might have guessed Sean's stunt from last week caught the attention of the Fantasy Football Gods and they bestowed Legendary Status on his bad JuJu. And kickers...still a thing, with their value increasing by the week.

This week Doug joins us again for Brownell's Breakdown, we discuss the big points being thrown up, including those from kickers, Sean's now on a charm offensive (let's see how that goes), and we may start to see some team's separate themselves from the pack by the end of the week if all goes according to plan.

It's been a long offseason, but here we are at the cusp of the start of the 2023 season. With that comes our annual pre-draft episode and all things armchair quarterback. It has been a few weeks since I recorded a podcast for the league, and a lot has taken place. A LOT. But rather than go through the details of the last two weeks, Sean and I thought we should do a first half of the regular season recap for you all.

Heading into week eight games, no one team is out of it. Sean and I cover everything from Sage Yahoo Auto Draft's performance or lack thereof thru the first half of the regular season; to Gordon officially having the worst luck in fantasy football, and if you want to know why Sean is taking Gabor to the Mystic Village to see a Shaman about a "thing"...well, we cover that as well.

Everything is still up for grabs, and anyone can still make the playoffs. It's going to be a great second half of the regular season.

Oh, what a week, I could not have asked for a better outcome for week 4's games. The setup for week 5, which just so happens to be our first of two rivalry weeks, is fantastic. With all the owners in the Hair Legends division sitting at overall records of 2-2 and all owners playing each other this week there will be some separation in the division when it's all said and done. Couple that with Sage Yahoo Autodraft's week 4 meltdown and you have an interesting weekend ahead!

Can I prevent Sean from getting his first divisional game win? Will Tim take down Doug-E-Fresh for a commanding 2-0 division record and the outright division lead? Can Gordon break the "best game of the season" curse? All this and more will be decided in week 5.

With week 3 in the books, we are now getting some good data on the teams and some interesting stats and trends. You don't have to look far for some of those stats as Sage yahoo Autodraft is still being tracked, Gordon's squad is putting up the kind of numbers you don't want to, and the Fantasy Football gods did have to step in during week 3.

Looking ahead to week 4, we have a battle for first place overall and will see two teams head into week five at 3 - 1. Now we'll some teams start to hit their stride.

Now that week 2 is in the rearview mirror I can see everyone's teams start to settle in. Injuries are already affecting teams, Sean is already up to his waiver wire shenanigans, and one owner appears to be on a bit of a revenge tour. Week 3 has the potential to put a few owners in early holes that will be hard to climb out of, it will be interesting to see how things play out!

Wow, that was fast. It feels like it was only yesterday that our 2021 season came to a fitting conclusion with the Championship earned by none other than yours truly. And now I have the impossible task of trying to repeat; seriously, it's never been done in this league...ever. Lots of research to do and so little time to do it.

We're getting our 2022 podcasting season started with our pre-draft podcast. It's a bit of a "shake-down" episode as I knock off the podcasting cobwebs, fine-tune some of the new podcasting gear, and tackle a few small housekeeping items with the gang. The league draft is right around the corner, and if the keeper selection by the league indicates the tone of this season, I'm expecting this to be the most competitive season yet.
