I interviewed Gustav from För Vidare Läsning-För Vidare Lyssning!
Gustav is involved in a lot of interesting things: he runs a fanzine, organises gigs, and publishes releases through his label, the next one being a compilation that he describes as “an audio snapshot of what’s stirring in the experimental Malmö underground in 2025, featuring four lengthy tracks from some of the most exciting artists currently based in the city.”
We talk about that, but also about the many other DIY underground projects that have kept Gustav busy over the last few years.
During the interview, I also played parts of the four tracks included on the compilation. I hope you enjoy!
On a more personal note, I have an exhibition coming up! I will be showing all the hand-painted gig posters I’ve made over the past years while living in Malmö, Sweden.
The exhibition will take place at Gallery Kontur Ateljéer next weekend, the last week of September 2025. The opening is on Friday the 26th, from 18:00 to 23:00. Come by and say hi!!! The show will run through the whole weekend, and I will be there both on Saturday and Sunday, but just the last hour before closing each day.

I went to the Copenhagen Animal Liberation Conference and interviewed Jake Conroy!!
Conroy, a longtime animal rights activist based near Seattle, Washington, has spent decades fighting for animal liberation and has witnessed firsthand the highs and lows of radical activism. He is best known for his role in the Stop Huntington Animal Cruelty (SHAC) campaign, which targeted Huntington Life Sciences, a laboratory that tested products ranging from food colouring and artificial sweeteners to oven cleaners on non-human animals such as rats, rabbits, pigs, dogs, marmosets, and macaques, and killed about 500 animals every day.
We talked about animal liberation, collective liberation, how doing time in prison affected him, pressure campaigns (his favorite), and hip hop and hardcore punk!!

Today, I’m happy to share an interview with Cindy Barukh Milstein, an anarchist activist based in the U.S. We discuss topics like anarchism, community, Palestinian solidarity, self-organization, navigating conflicts, and more.
Cindy is not just a writer and editor but has also been deeply involved in many collective projects. These projects aim to create spaces for resistance, rebuilding, and learning. Some examples include the Institute for Anarchist Studies, the Institute for Social Ecology, the Renewing the Anarchist Tradition conference, and others.

In other news, we’re organizing a benefit punk gig here in Malmö. We want to raise funds for the incredible people in Valencia who’ve been working tirelessly to support each other after the recent floods. We believe that punk is solidarity, they cannot wait for the government to help them, so they are from day one helping each other and we want to do something for them as well, from here.

I recently caught up with Nevin from @genjingrecords, and together we created a special episode about the Chinese punk and hardcore scene.
Nevin is a U.S. musician and music activist who lived in Beijing for 20 years, and he’s now based in Hong Kong. I first met him around 10 years ago while I was traveling through northern China, and then I had the experience to see and listen to some of the bands that he talks about during the episode.
Nevin has deep knowledge of the Chinese music scene, having worked with labels like Genjing Records (which he founded) and Maybe Mars, as well as playing in bands like Fan Zui Xiang Fa and Struggle Session, so he is the perfect person to guide us through this underground scene.
