After a long hiatus, I am finally back. This podcast is dear to my heart, and I am just so delighted to be back again. Our podcast has turned three this year. Thus, this podcast has entered a certain level of maturity. However, the podcast will stick to its core goal: to be a beacon for knowledge sharing and a safe,judgement-free platform for anyone who wants to voice their opinions or life stories to the world. The podcast intends to give a voice to the voiceless. ================ Greetings, everyone; in this episode, I have a special guest Dr Christal Asong whom I had the privilege of knowing via one of the Jay Shetty Genius meetups in Kuala Lumpur. She is a former medical doctor, a best-selling author, a certified life purpose coach, trainer, speaker, and founder of Awaken Academy. Her best-selling book, "Should I Quit? 5 Steps to Discover Work You Are Meant to Do and Live Your Purpose", is on sale now. You can purchase the book here. She prides herself on being a self-reliant go-getter raised to be self-assured. Christal has put in a lot of effort and followed all the regulations: obtained outstanding grades, attended the best medical school in the nation, graduated, and started a prominent profession as a doctor. She appeared to have things "figured out" on the surface. But with time, another element crept in: a feeling of inner emptiness. Christal experienced a quarter-life crisis, which left her feeling lost, confused, disappointed, unhappy, trapped, and helpless. She then realised she was sacrificing her well-being to achieve someone else's aspirations. Realising that things must change, she embarked on a journey to discover her "Ikigai". This episode will go deep into Christal's journey of discovering her life purpose after quitting the job which she aspired to be while growing up.
