The name's Wayne. ... Wayne Bond.
If you're involved in anyway, shape or form with the Kitchener - Waterloo music scene, than you have definitely encountered this force (or at least heard of him).
He is one of our favourite all time rock drummers and also makes for an incredible engineer and producer.
Most recently, you can hear him on his work with "Seeds of Eden" and with our own Jesse Webber's releases.
Get to know how Wayne got his start on drums, in the studio and some of his production work on our final episode of season 5.
Thanks for tuning in this year and we'll catch ya next season.

Whoa.. this is a biggen. How many of you knew that Jesse had a soccer (football) superstar cousin??
On today's episode we are joined by David Edgar. If you haven't heard of him, than you're probably not a fan of soccer because David is a giant in the Soccer (football) community.
He started out having to make a pretty big decision as to whether or not it was going to be hockey or soccer. He made the right call and began his journey as a footballer in Newcastle and eventually went on to notable clubs such as Burnley, Swansea, Birmingham City, Sheffield United, Vancouver White Caps.. to name a few. He ended up back where it started, began his life as a family man, started a football camp and now is beginning his journey as a coach/manager.
His journey is insane and definitely inward.
This episode is inspiring so have a listen.

Welcome back to another awesome episode of Kitchener Famous. If you're from the area and you were paying attention to our last federal election, you would know how close our local elected were and therefore know the importance and value of voting is. Mike was our local elected Green Party MP. He continues to be a pioneer for many local initiatives and has helped pass some very important bills. Most importantly, he is a compassionate and humane person with a good heart. It's not often that we discuss politics on the show, but it is incredibly important and speaks to how it shapes and dictates our identity as Canadians. Mike discusses all things politics and initiatives today and educates Jesse and Jay... there's even a funny story at the end on how Jesse and Mike met.

What's up m' Kitchezz?
If you're reading this, then you should know that Robi has been a powerful force of not just the Toronto music scene, not just the LA music scene... but also of our own KW music scene.
His humble beginnings of a guitarist and song writer in our scene quickly blossomed into some major relationships which landed him on monumental records of our time...notably of The Tragically Hip, Crosby, Stills, Nash ... and (kinda) Young, Rival Sons..
There are so many crazy moments that this dude has been witness to and we got a front row seat to some of those stories. It's all right here and right now on a new episode of Kitchener Famous

Whattup Kitchezz?
We have a doozie for you today.
Mike D (aka John Orpheus) is not only one of KW's finest song writers and master of funk/soul... he's also an author and radio host. Jesse & Jay could learn a thing or two from this bad ass motha!
Mike started earlier around here with the Jen Militia and Stone Prophets and eventually graduated to touring with the Happy Mondays and opening for Liam Gallagher's solo project ...
He's since written and toured a book (Saga Boy) and is working on another and produced and released music under the name 'John Orpheus'...
This cat has lived many lives and has had many tales along the way...
This was such an interesting chat and we hope you enjoy it.

Holy smokes. We finally did it! We got one of our most desired guests since we've started doing this.. and boy did he deliver.
Bob Egan is seriously one of Jay & Jesse's north stars as a musician. More importantly, he's just an all around great person.
His tale is truly a rags to riches story. He tells us tales about getting advise from Johnny Cash (you read that right: Johnny Cash) amongst others. He fills us in on his tenure with Wilco, Blue Rodeo, and the Tragically Hip.
He lets us in on what motivated him to start the instrument rental program at the Kitchener Library, and what prompted him to have the state of the art FREE recording studio in there as well.. and he even brought his son Leo onto the show.
Bob now spends his time doing public speaking, and you'll know why by the end of this episode.
Honestly, this one is just so inspiring and we're stoked for you to hear it. We won't make you read anymore.. we're gunna just let you get on with it.

You can catch John at the 2025 Elmira Vintage Guitar show on June 1st at the Elmira Recreation Complex. The show runs between 11 am and 4 pm.

Hey friends!
Welcome back to an all new season of Kitchener Famous with Jesse and Jay.
We want to thank you for coming back and listening.
Today's episode features our "on sight investigative journalism" skills from last year's Belmont Village Bestival.
Because so many of the artist's graciously took time to chat with us, we had to split this episode into two parts.
This episode features our chats with: Matt Weidinger, Danny Michel, John Orpheus, Steve Strongman, Rob Szabo, Tammy Lawrence, Isy Aboagye, Cheryl Lescom and Sydney Jones.
It's all here on our season 5 debut episode of Kitchener Famous.
And while we have your attention, we would like to thank this year's sponsors:
The Duke of Wellington, Hop House/ White Rabbit, The Foundry Tavern/The Underwing, Encore Records, The Belmont Village Bestival & the Elmira Vintage Guitar Show.
Remember to support local this year. It's more important now than ever.

You'll also hear him talk about his upcoming tour, and his show at the Jazz Room in Waterloo on Jan 28th 2024 where he'll be filming and recording the show and releasing later this year.
Make sure to follow him on all of your social platforms @ashwynsingh
