   Credit to Kansas candidate for governor Jeff Colyer for calling out an anti-Jew extremist working in the Kansas State Civil Rights and Title IX department as that employee was suspended within hours of our report here at KKHI.  Listeners here, and of the interview with Colyer we did on radio, overwhelmed the school with calls and got immediate action.  Well done.    It's pretty clear now the Dems biggest Trump fear is something they never saw coming.  If he starts cleaning up crime filled cities in red states, the Dems will have no place to hide.    We introduce you to the Bedroom Tax in Australia.  What the heck?   The Royals have a look of a tired team that has nothing left in the tank.    The Chiefs didn't just have a long flight to Brazil, they now have concerns about staying two hours away from the stadium, likely for safety, and the condition of the field.    College Football ratings were up in Week one and an owner of a luxury yacht safely goes down with his ship.

   Former Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer unloads on K-State for a hire they've made in their Civil Rights Department and he's spot on.  This is the kind of story that grabs headlines as Colyer seems to be gaining traction as the Republican to beat in the primary for 2026.    Oracle is getting smaller in KC, it sort of seemed inevitable.    President Trump orders the destruction of a narco terror drug ship off the coast of Venezuela.  It doesn't just send a message to drug traffic thugs, it sends a message to everyone, everywhere.    One state is putting a question on the ballot that anyone would love....    It's great to be back in the comfort of the home studio and we're firing right out of the gate this week with a really interesting story about where we stayed at a golf resort in Utah.  It involves Patrick Mahomes buying the course and Andy Reid building a house there.  You have to hear this.    We had some really sad looking Trump protesters this weekend in KC and I feel terrible for them that they can't find something better to do.    Dems seem hell bent to stop Trump's tariffs that are bringing tax breaks to Americans and creating peace deals around the world.  Yes, Dems, lets stop all these good things from happening so you can blame the prez.    The Chiefs have one player they are focusing on more than others Friday in the season opener against the Chargers.  It's game week for the first Border War since 2011.  Bama, Texas and now Bill Belichick have really bad starts to the college season.    And our Final Final is the Chiefs rescuing the good people of Germany from a life without Kansas City's very own creation.... Cheez-It.

  There is no song of the week this Friday but music is still a vibe.    A whole bunch of KKHI Patrons loved the segment we did about Ozzy Osbourne's unbelievable life and we will share it with all of you now.  It's the kind of thing we do on Patron Podcasts if you'd like to join.    Then, drummer Billy Brimblecom is long time friends with Jason Sudeikis and the two of them invented Thundergong.  It's a music and comedy extravaganza and it raises money to help those that need prosthetics when their insurance won't cover it.  Billy was on my radio show a couple weeks ago and he's totally dedicated to entertaining and helping others as he lost his leg a few years ago to cancer.    

    It's the Football Feast as it appears all systems are go for the Chiefs.  Rashee Rice will be out for 6 so the sledding just got tougher.  But we've seen this movie before.  Stan Weber has some thoughts on Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh dealing with distraction as the opening is just a little over a week away.    Then, what a treat.  Mizzou Thursday, KU Friday and K-State on Saturday.  The Tigers quarterbacks are the big story as they need to find a starter.  KU looks really good and a tune up against Wagner should build momentum.  And K-State needs a hard drive re-boot to the season after a train wreck in Dublin.

  As fate would have it, Trav and Tay are engaged the day before I was ready to post a pod about all of us falling in love with her.  After she appeared on "New Heights" podcast, I opened the radio hour reminding all of us about how sweet she is, how much she loves her man and how much she HATES our politics.  Maybe she's going to change, I think there is a chance.   But what unfolded on air was wild.  Callers, theories and opinions were flying like crazy.  Congrats to the happy couple.  But more... Congrats to America for where we are despite her best efforts!

   It's not getting much publicity but Super Bowl winning coach Jon Gruden is making real strides in court to get "uncancelled" by the coaching world.  We won't judge whether Gruden is a boy scout but the NFL made quite a reach going after Gruden when he was not an NFL employee.  The lawsuit moves on and Gruden has won at every turn so far.    Then, it's got to be really hard to be in traditional sports media these days covering a team on a beat.  Travis Kelce and his brother are a classic reason why the old way has hit the highway.

   It's your Monday podcast on a Sunday as Spencer Kietzman joins us to catch up with all the KKHI listeners and talk a little football.    It was a disaster for K-State as they lose the game, lose a player and lose the internet as the quarterback's dad and brother get in a fight on the streets of Dublin and it goes viral.  Ouch.    KU's new stadium was rocking almost as good as the team as the Hawks romp Fresno.    The Chiefs look ready as the first teams dominate the Bears.   Spencer preps for fatherhood and takes a shot at a couple sponsor reads on a fun father/son episode.

   A week ago, I shared with you that I had information about the Royals and Chiefs plans for new ballparks but couldn't confirm it with the proper source.  So I shared the information with our Patrons at KKHI who were blown away.  Now, the President of the Kansas Senate has stated it publicly.  Officials in Topeka and Jeff City believe both teams are heading to Kansas.    The Royals are rolling... we'll talk about the path to the playoffs as they seem to have a bounce in their step.    KSU and ISU meet Saturday in Dublin for Farm 'O' Geddon and for K-State, it's all business.  There will be no sight seeing... just a practice or two, a game and a flight home.    Missouri AG Andrew Bailey has resigned to work as Co-Deputy Director of the FBI, the same title as Dan Bongino.  So what's going on here?    DC police have put out some crime stats that will surprise nobody as Trump seems to have cleaned the place up in a week.    Meanwhile, the president has incredible poll numbers.  Especially compared to Democrats.    And our favorite adoption people, www.pawsitivetailskc.org celebrate a milestone and we'd be thrilled if you adopted a pet or made a donation to help them.

   The Chiefs starters, in an oh so brief appearance, looked sharp Saturday night against the Cardinals.  It's a good start and we'll break down who was good, who was bad and who got hurt.    The rest of the league was interesting to watch to see new quarterbacks, old qbs in new places and who has such status they sat out.  We even saw a 70 yard field goal!    The Royals finish the road trip 4-5 after a terribly disappointing loss Sunday in a game that got away.  It feels like they are playing out the season now with almost no chance of a playoff spot.    A popular, but not very good, country artist is picking fights with Chiefs fans on social media.  And it's not all in good fun... this guy is a d___.    Trump is announcing a takeover of DC on Monday, this could set the table for the rest of America's troubled cities.  CNN reports the census of 2020 was a huge fraud an cost Republicans.  A cheerleader is causing a firestorm with Minnesota Vikings fans and you won't believe the show they put on this week on Dancing with the Stars in Israel.   They sure love America and Trump.  

   Andy Reid says Patrick Mahomes will start in the first pre season game at Arizona Saturday night, even as most other teams are not playing their QB1.  They tried it in Indy and lost their starting quaterback to injury right away.    In LA, the Chargers made their left tackle the highest paid lineman in the game last week.  Then, Rashawn Slater suffers a season ending injury.  This game is brutal.    The Royals wrap up a wicked road trip beginning with a crazy good pitching matchup at Minnesota Friday night.    Greg Gutfeld from Fox News appears on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.  The United States really wants the dictator in Venezuela out.  A Joe biden advisor says they declined a cognitive test for the former prez.  A fake nurse is caught in Florida.    And our song of the week is 50 years old and "voiced" by Hollywood's biggest legend ever.  It is perfect this week after a member of Congress announced she's a Guatemalan first and American second.
