This week we are joined by our friend and fellow podcaster regarding addiction, specifically addiction to porn. This is an area of mental health and well-being that often times gets looked past and ignored. We have seen a process in the last 40-50 years of steady desensitization to sexual content and porn has been part of that. It’s seen as normal by many men, joked about in locker rooms, and the objectification of women, men, boys, and girls has become commonplace in our culture.
The unseen factor is how it affects our minds and thus our bodies leading to dependence on the content, dopamine withdrawal, damage to relationships, and even can lead to erectile dysfunction.
This episode isn’t one for the kids due to the subject matter but we keep it PG despite directly speaking about this issue.
Our guest this week is a 2-year recovery porn addict with a background as a fitness trainer, coach, and mentor. He’s the host of The Super Human Life Podcast and the creator behind the Youtube channel Rebuild Your Life. He has been through the trenches and at this point is well into his mission of helping hundreds, if not thousands of men, to get free from addiction to pornography through his use of Faith and Fitness.
