Growing up in the west with Middle Eastern values sometimes felt like being a fish trying to swim on the moon. This is the first time my siblings and I have sat down and really discussed the battles we faced trying to fit into a western world whilst still respecting our eastern heritage.

This is the one with my childhood. I take a trip back to 1979 with my mother and we discuss everything from a chance meeting with my father at Glasgow central station on a cold winters night to having children in Kurdistan, fleeing war, growing up in Malta to building The Secret and everything in between. This is the most vulnerable and raw I have ever been and I am both terrified and excited to share my story with you.
