Today's entry is a semi-scheduled, semi-spontaneous interview of me by Dereck about my life, choices I've made, why I dropped the podcast and my supporters like a bad habit, how I'm disgusted with a few of my past episodes, and much more. Just for fun.
I am grateful for all the support.
My message to a very good friend, a brother. And to those who have shared the experience. Peace & Love.

Eddie Griffin, an awesome comedian said that broke a word down as "fun-to-mental". He was talking about a very specific action when he said this. This is an action that Every person needs to practice in their life. I won't say much more. Enjoy the episode.
Rejection creates fear in us and greatly restricts our social lives. Every Man has dealt with rejection at some point. Mainly, in the face of a woman he likes. But to overcome rejection, one must seek rejection. The only way to seek rejection is to search for it and conquer it. Every day. Every day until you are numb to it/enjoy receiving it (in a healthy way, of course). This episode is about the benefits of becoming accustomed to rejection and there is also a challenge in it for you so listen all the way through. Enjoy.

Everyone, not just Men, should be aware of their finances. To build generational wealth and become a millionaire/billionaire, budgeting, expenses, assets, etc, are all important. In this episode we have the finance guru Travis Baten walking us through some of the important steps and processes in order become who we want to financially be. Enjoy.

The comfort zone is a warm, enjoyable place to be. There's food, drinks, and video games. There is also Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and HBO. There is a bed with nice pillows and blankets. Then there is the discomfort zone. The fans don't work in the summer and the fireplace needs wood in the winter. There is only rice and beans and water in the discomfort zone. The bed is worn and the blankets are a little too short to cover your feet. Every Man should visit the discomfort zone. It builds character. It provides exponential growth and strengthens the body and mind. The discomfort zone is where boys become Men.

Every Man should want to be a leader. A leader of his community, his home, and most importantly, himself. It is paramount that a Man lead himself first before attempting to lead others. The reason we look up to and follow others is because we see something in them that we don't see in ourselves. We see their passion, their drive, their ambition, their happiness, and we say to ourselves, "I want to be like him" or "I want to be like her". Work on your character and all else will fall into place.

Habits make up most of our day-to-day activities. Whether it is going to the gym, reading a book, watching tv, or checking social media. We have habits that we love. Though, just because we may love them, that does not mean we are proud of all of them. A great book to educate yourself on good habits is a book called Atomic Habits by James clear. In today's episode of Every Man, I discuss two topics from the book: Cues that lead to habits and Habit Stacking. Every Man Needs Good Habits. You can start building those good habits today.

Total isolation is not good for anybody. Yet, no isolation is not a good thing either. Whether it be from heartbreak or a significant loss, Every Man needs a period, or even small daily periods, of isolation. Controlled isolation permits time for self reflection, creativity, and improvement. Every Man needs some controlled isolation.

Every Man should be the Best Man.

Every Man should be able to hold their own. Birthday parties, clubs, formal events, etc. Every Man should be able to work his way around a room and adapt to any person(s) and discussion(s). This is episode is about what that means and why it is important. Enjoy and share with a fellow Man.

What's good Gentlemen (& the sprinkle of ladies)! We are back with another episode of BLX and today we revisit a discussion from the podcast last year. Choosing the right female partner, for Men, is highly significant. It can be the difference between peace and suffering. Tranquility v. Chaos. In this episode, I list why it is important, give a few examples, and list the top kind of women men should avoid and why to steer clear of these women. Not all women are bad/evil. There are great/amazing women in this world. Just be sure to make the right decision. Choose wisely Gents.

What is going Gents! 2022 is in full swing. Have you threw your goals in the trash or are you still grinding?? I hope for the latter. Stay tough, stay focused. One goal every Man should strive for is self sufficiency. Being able to sustain and maintain yourself as an adult male in the world. To do that, every man needs a job. So today's episode of BLX is about getting a job, why you need a job, how to get a job, and excuses around not having a job. Enjoy Gentlemen and Get After It!

Welcome to the New Year and the New Podcast! The BLX podcast is a podcast made specifically for developing men and helping them become the best versions of themselves. Though the content is skewed toward Men, there is also useful information for Women as well. BLX is an acronym that stands for "Be Like X" and the 'X' should be replaced with a Man that you look up to, either in history, in your life, or in the world currently. Who do you want to be like?
In the first episode of the year 2022, Kenn J talks about a skill that all Men NEED to build and improve on. A skill that has become increasingly more necessary during these times. ALL Men should work on building their skills and being able to provide value to others in their life. The skill he discusses is no different. If you find today's episode enjoyable, share it with a friend.

'Tiz good my Black Kingz, Black Queenz, and my people of the kingdom! In today's episode of BLAX, the topic of discussion is having to cut dead weight. Letting go of people that we love for the betterment of ourselves and/or our family. It is a tough realization that many of us come to and I give a personal account of when I had to do such an act. Hope you enjoy today's episode. If you find this episode helpful, be sure to share it someone who could also benefit.
