Experts and beginners, confronting your passions... exploring Tracy's favorite Buddhism and Josh's favorite dance.
Tracy and I invite a couple of friends over for tea... it's a casual evening of meaningful conversation... maybe even deep conversation about life and relationships... hey wait... maybe it's just deep enough for.... you guessed it! A spontaneous podcast recording!!!
Josh and Tracy have been thinking a lot about addiction lately and are trying to figure it out. So, did they get it all figured out? Uuuummm, not really. Still, they managed to talk about it for nearly an hour. Please take a listen anyway. Maybe it will help you to figure it out. If you do, please let us know.
Yay! More Pseudoscience! Tracy does love some good ol' pseudoscience, and cringingly sketchy misappropriation of physics concepts. Josh loves scifi, so gladly swallows a grain of salt and plays along. Bottom line, is meeting your soul mate just a random fluke? Or, the sum of countless past thoughts, words, and actions culminating in a beautiful connection? *Spoiler Alert: I think we both kinda lean toward that second one.
According to my extensive Google research, the first recorded marriage was in 2350 BCE. Using this same research method, I discovered the average lifespan during that era was 18 years old. 'Til death do us part' seems a lot more manageable under those conditions. Life spans are typically longer than that these days, and a lot of marriages end prior to death doing the parting. That means a lot of of us will start brand new relationships waaaaay after our 20's. In this episode, Josh and Tracy meander about in the vast unknown of the future, aligning their vision for a shared second half of life.
Once again, these Wonder Twins put their power rings together and and shout,"Activate!" "Shape of... An Idea!!!! Form of... A Plan!!!!!!"
This time we discuss the ins and outs of making plans, creating a shared vision for the future, expressing wants and needs, and respecting quirks and foibles.
Can anything ever defeat the combined Josh/Tracy Superpower of over analyzing every minute detail on any topic?
Will Tracy's goldfish-like attention span finally derail every usable bit of audio?
Listen and Find Out!
Josh and Tracy discuss navigating a healthy sense of autonomy and individuation, while deepening romantic connection.
In the previous episode Josh and Tracy confirmed the existence of ghosts... not really. Disregarding the "not really" part of that last sentence, Josh and Tracy penetrate further enough into the implications of ghosts as part of the human experience.
In this first episode of Just Deep Enough, with Josh and Tracy, we delve into one of the great unanswerable questions: Do Ghosts Exist? If they do, why and how? If they don't, how come we keep talking about them? Also, why are they so dang spooky? We are categorizing this podcast as a "Relationship" podcast because talking about philosophy, politics, paranormal stuff, and wacky theories about everything is a big part of what makes out relationship fun and meaningful.
