A few thoughts to encourage the listener

A biblical definition of love is valued above that of a human definition because the Word of God is true and never varies with the culture and times.

Enjoy your friendships.

Today is our opportunity to focus on the most important things.

A candid reflection on the need to be faithful to share the good news.

Christians claim to believe the Bible is God's Word. We claim it's God's divinely inspired, inerrant message to us. Yet despite this, we aren't reading it. 

A pretty good summary is found in 3 John 1:2: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Notice that God doesn’t just want you to prosper in some things—He says all things!

We need to examine ourselves and see where we have been, where we are, and where the Lord wants us to be. 

We can begin to participate in God's loving plan to recreate the entire cosmos in and through Jesus Christ. Your Time today is the road along which this loving plan of redemption proceeds in our individual lives and the history of this world. 

A new calendar year alerts us to the fact that we have been given a new beginning, the old year is past and the new year is before us.

So, I want to be very clear: God’s love is not at all like that. It is, instead, a gift, poured out extravagantly and indiscriminately on everyone.

The Letter to the Colossians speaks of the "Son of His love," meaning that Christ in his love and power equips us with the Holy Spirit and his freshness. 

O come, let us adore Him O come, let us adore Him O come, let us adore Him.

No wonder the angels sang out on that first Christmas day: “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth—yes is possible—on earth peace among those whom he favors!”

The bright morning star represents the promise of a new day, it indicates that something better is coming. 

Live today and everyday animated by the desire to make your Jesus smile, and never assume that there more Christmas seasons on the horizon. 

When they saw the star they rejoiced with joy.” 

Serving the Lord and experiencing the joy and blessings of being in His presence is a great wonder! 

What a great faith the Lord worked in Joseph—first to believe in the coming Savior, but also to believe that he would be guardian/ foster father of that Savior. 

The True Spirit of Christmas will lead us like the shepherds, to bend our knees and find a quiet time to reflect how much love God has bestowed upon us.
