On March 24th OCPA-LA hosted "JOE Talks Hollywood and Army Strategy: Building Better Bridges," a discussion on the mutual value Hollywood professionals and Army Strategists derive from discussing Strategy and Future Warfare. The one-hour virtual discussion and Q&A session with Army Strategist and Author Lt. Col. Matt Cavanaugh, PhD and Best-Selling Author Max Brooks delved into how a deeper understanding by creative professionals in the entertainment industry of the Army, its operations, and strategy will benefit their future projects and, conversely, will benefit Army Strategist to better understand Future Warfare. They also discussed how critical it is that the American public better know its military in order to safeguard the precious resources used to defend the nation. They also discussed their many collaborations, specifically, their book "Strategy Strikes Back," which provides lessons to military strategists using the well-known Star Wars cinematic universe.
