This is it ladies and gentlemen, we are all systems a go and ready to pop my little feet in the stirrups and inject a little baby (embryo) in its new home for nine months. So excited! The embryo has been made with semen and eggs. Now the embryo is ready to be implanted. We do the fresh transfer, meaning that the transfer hasn't been defrosted. Very exciting for use with three of these little guys or girls ready to go. We actually have a little theory about the IVF scientists knowing the sex. If you're enjoying the show please give us a cheeky review. Please if you're going through IVF and you have a story to share, contact me on my instagram @biancazouppas - To hear all the episodes or to contact me please go to biancazouppas.com.au
Yes, its all fun and games in the IVF clinic. We have so many ups and downs it would be silly not to focus on the 'UPS" as this is one of the most important things when it comes to going through fertility treatments. STAY POSITIVE!! Yes there are so many things to stress out about and if you can just focus on all the great things that are happening, laugh about the ridiculous you'll be ok. We have a new voice mail line for the show. We would love for you to send us your questions or even share your own experiences. Please if you have a second give us a cheeky review and don't forget to punch the alarm bell to get notifications as to when we go live.
Enjoy!

In this weeks episode of what your Mumma went through (new episodes every Monday) we discuss IUI and what’s involved. I went through 2 rounds of IUI and planned on doing a third but needed to reschedule due to a cyst. There are a number of varying elements to IUI, mainly to do with the weeks prior to the insemination. In this episode I am honest about what it’s like both physically and mentally. I truly hope this helps. ❤️ Below is the serious explanation if you want my take on it have a cheeky listen to my latest episode. For more me, who wouldnt want more of me. Well, more of IVF or anything else. Biancazouppas.com is where to go. Lots of Love xxxx IUI stands for Intrauterine Insemination. It is a type of assisted reproductive technology (ART) in which sperm are placed directly into a woman's uterus during ovulation in order to increase the chances of fertilization.
The process of IUI typically involves washing and preparing sperm to concentrate healthy and active sperm before transferring them directly into the uterus using a thin catheter. This technique aims to bypass the natural barriers that sperm face in their journey towards the egg, thus increasing the likelihood of successful fertilisation.
IUI is often used as a first-line treatment for couples who have unexplained infertility, mild male factor infertility, or ovulatory disorders. It can also be used in combination with fertility drugs to stimulate ovulation and increase the chances of success.
This episode I talk about todays egg collection surgery at the Wesley Hostpital with my doctor Anusch Yazdani and his team from Eve Heath and Monash IVF. Some crazy things happened that I cant wait to share with you. How many eggs collected, how many fertilised, what the process way plus all of my usual hopes and fears for this stage of our IVF. This podcast is called What Your Mumma Went Through because hopefully one day my future kid will hear it and know what I went through. I'll begin by explaining what IVF stands for - in vitro fertilization - and break down the process in laymen's terms for those who may not be familiar with the details.
I'll talks candidly about the physical and emotional aspects of going through IVF, including the medications, the procedures, and the waiting game.
I cant emphasise enough the importance of finding a support system during the IVF journey, whether it be through friends and family or online communities. Advice for those who may be considering IVF, including the importance of self-care and taking things one day at a time.
I hope from my little chat you gain a deeper understanding of what IVF is. Please go to biancazouppas.com.au and click podcasts for more.
