Data centers are only a small part of the total buildings in the world. Yet, 3 to 4% of all carbon from energy use, comes from these 11.000 data centers. Add water consumption for cooling and electrical waste to the equation, and your looking at an overlooked, but quite large, sustainability challenge in a very small industry. And now, with the rise of AI - data centers will only require more energy!

Coding has entered the Construction Industry. And so has the sustainability agenda. In Denmark you have to calculate a Life Cycle Assessment of your project before you can receive a Building Permit. This new regulation has resulted in the creation of several new programs that can help Developers calculate LCAs.
