In a world that glorifies hustle, what happens when we choose to slow down? In this gently transformative episode, we invite you to exhale deeply and step into a softer pace of being.
Our guest, writer and spiritual mentor Arria Deepwater, shares her lived experience of navigating chronic illness, honouring her body’s limits, and rediscovering the healing power of rest.
This is more than a conversation—it’s an invitation. Together, we explore what it means to rest like it matters, how to break free from the pressures of productivity culture, and why rest is not a reward, but a birthright.
Arria offers a beautiful framework for micro, macro, and deep rest, along with practical ways to reconnect with your energy, creativity, and inner truth—even in a busy life.
If you’re craving space, softness, or simply a moment to breathe, this episode is your permission slip. Pour a cup of tea, find a quiet corner, and join us in reclaiming rest as a radical, restorative act of self-connection.
Arria Deepwater (she/they) is a writer, speaker and spiritual mentor & companion, whose work is informed by the deliciously fractured reality of living in a queer disabled body.
Born a spiritual misfit, Arria’s life-long search for wholeness has led to a practice of radical rest, a deep acceptance of limitation and grief, and a (kinda messy) breakup with the modern world.
Arria’s novella Descent, winner of the 2022 Fabulist Fiction Prize from Omnidawn Publishing, is being released in October 2025.
