Hey fam!!! WE'RE BACK, and today we're diving into the wild world of Jacob's kids. Yep, we're talking about their deceitful, murderous, backstabbing, lust-driven, and occasionally well-meaning (and sometimes forgetful?) moments.

I’m beyond excited to unpack these stories and pray they spark a fire in you to read them for yourselves and get more disciplined in our walk with God. Let's get into it!

(Today we're in Genesis 35 - 41. This is part 1 of Joseph's story technically. We will also circle back to talk about the scandalous story of Judah and Tamar)

HAPPY NEW YEAAAAARRR!!!!

& what better place to start us off than with a new cast for the Real Housewives of Genesis??? Our heel-grabbing brother, Jacob, is on the run and he has run a mighty long way.

This story is one of those humble reminders that we truly can NEVER know who God will move through. No one is too far gone; no one is too stubborn; no one has messed up that bad. The same God who could truly put a stop to our stubbornness and unwillingness with JUST A TOUCH, is the same God who loves us enough to still gently lets us go through the wrestling match if we need it.

I can't tell you how much i LOVE this story. PLEASE READ IT. The chapters feel like they fly by because there's not a single uneventful section.

I pray that those who hear this story, will read the story, and in reading the story, grow in their walks with Christ. in Jesus name AMEN.

I actually feel like the title really sums up today's episode... But before we get there, we have unfinished business with the Real Housewives of Genesis!!

This episode is one of the more perplexing to me, but even in the things I don't understand, one thing remains true - God keeps his promises.!!! I also found it interesting that sometimes God will bless even your 'detour' path for His LOVE FOR YOU.

Our last episode of 2024!! I pray this podcast has blessed you all as much as it has me, I pray that this is about more than a funny story but rather that an interest stirs inside that brings the walls blocking you from reading the Word down, and brings us all closer to Jesus. Today's story is literally what soap operas are made of and I never get tired of studying it. I pray that the love and I have for this story is infectious and ignites a fire in all of us to go and READ the stories in the Bible for ourselves and allow it to minister to us.

(quick note: God renames Abram & Sarai to Abraham & Sarah by the end but sometimes i mistakenly just go back and forth between the names but they are the same person. Abram is Abraham. Sarai is Sarah)

I'm so excited to go on this journey with you guys! Apart from the beautiful and careful linguistic work that makes up the Bible, the stories within don't shy away from the MESS that is humanity. I'm hoping that the love and joy I've developed while studying is infectious and encourages you to open the WRITTEN WORD of God for yourself because "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4).

I've been praying over all of us, that hearing the stories would rouse an interest to read it; and draw us all closer to God in our different walks; that God would give us more wisdom, more understanding and more of HIM.
