To know me is to know the wonderful set of humans that God placed in my life as parents. Everything I know and I am, they showed me and I learned from the best of the best. My parents are incredible and I'm blessed to have my dad on the podcast to share his life experience in being in his twenties and advice for us all as we continue to navigate this journey.
This episode is my favorite because not only does my dad come to share his life lessons, but he also practically shows us what life can really look like in 3-4 decades from now when you stay on the straight and narrow and live a life of service.
His life continues to be an inspiration and one full of dedication, service, prayer, focus, and herculean hard work. He deserves all the flowers and accolades and I’m so proud he’s my dad and my friend.
I am sure you’ll learn a lot - if you do leave a comment and let us know, he’ll be reading them too!
Shoutout to Mr Tope Smart for being the best (girl) dad. I love you pops!

Your dreams will cost you. But is it worth it? Each season of your life will have its own priorities but the cost of following a dream will have a price attached to it. There is no one size fits all but in this episode we’ll explore the different things to know about the true cost of a dream, and you can make the decision for yourself.

In this episode I read the newsletter “the pursuit of more” which starts off reading an excerpt from “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” where she talks about pursuing more and not finding contentment in each milestone. I relate it with my own journey of always looking at the next and the next and it wasn’t until 25 I realised that if where I was at in life and what I had, full and beautiful as it was at that point was not enough for me, then nothing will ever be.

In this episode, I'm joined with my husband for a very heartwarming story on our journey from friendship to being engaged and now married. After being together for 8 years, we reflect and share on navigating dating and relationships in our earlier 20s, how we both got clarity to get married and what we wished we knew earlier.
Lots of laughter, wisdom but not your typical high school romance!
