Start of the Lake Biwa 100
The morning chill, the breath we hold,
Numbers pinned and hearts of gold.
Whispers rise along the line,
A thousand souls, one mountain climb.
Gozaisho waits with granite pride,
Kamagatake looms, the sky is wide.
Through the mist, we start to run,
The journey wakes beneath the sun.
Every heartbeat counts the miles,
Fear and hope trade fleeting smiles.
We don’t yet know what lies ahead,
But the dream is louder than the dread.
This is the Lake Biwa 100,
A road of fire, a song begun.
From Suzuka peaks to the shining shore,
We run for something more.
Sharp the climb of Aburabi’s way,
Legs on fire, but minds will stay.
Suzuka fades behind the haze,
Fifty k down, in morning’s blaze.
Through Shigaraki’s silent trees,
Tokaido winds and memories.
The pain becomes a steady friend,
Each step a prayer that will not end.
This is the Lake Biwa 100,
A road of fire, a song begun.
From Suzuka peaks to the shining shore,
We run for something more.
Otowayama calls our name,
Daimonji burns its sacred flame.
Through Kyoto’s streets, the people cheer,
Their voices push away the fear.
Hiei’s bells and mountain rain,
Echo faith through joy and pain.
The spirit climbs where bodies tire,
A thousand hearts, one single fire.
This is the Lake Biwa 100,
Where courage meets the rising sun.
Through Gonzen’s ridge to Horai’s blue,
Lake Biwa shines — the dream comes true.
From the start, we knew it’s more than run,
A journey shared, a rising one.
And when we reach that endless view,
The lake will sing — we made it through.
