They also present the S4C and CBBC show Academi Gomedi, where Welsh children are taught stand up comedy, culminating in a live performance at a club. Steffan talks to us about ADHD, bisexuality, performing in different languages and to different audiences.
Steffan's Debut Fringe show 'Stand Up' Will be at Hoots @ The Apex this August 9.30pm:

Bec joins Edy to help track down a stolen phone from earlier in the year, and also to - in the kindest way - encoruage Edy not to try and get the smoke from a dead man's tooth.

He's previously written storylines for Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, and his Sitcom Perfect was turned into a pilot and is on the UKTV Play App. He is currently working on a new play titled Cured which we discuss in the show, alongside his previously life in academia.
Laurence is in desperate need of help from Edy to once and for all beat his 12 year old son at board games. For too long has the pre-teen protege lauded his victories upon the Clark household. But will Edy's spell from the Petite Albert prove enough to cut the (colonel) Mustard?

As a Neurodivergent-led podcast, what could illustrate the lived experience better than realising you need to take longer to complete work to a quality standard than you expected? So in many ways, is not a special announcement of a season break the most on brand episode we've had? What if it's because of a curse too? Like a hex? Now that's an overlap you can't write except for just immediately before.
Thank you so much to everyone who has listened to the first three episodes, and thank you for your patience over the next month or so as we get the rest of the season ready for your ears!

This week Edy is joined by Vickin Hawkins and Adam Smith from BLINK Dance Theatre, a Neruodiverse dance group who champion accessibility in their perfornance, facilitation of workshops and training. The video chat looks at how to build accessibility in for both the creative team and audiences, as well as what it means to collaborate and work with others.
Edy provides two spells to Vicki and Adam, one to draw comfort from animals, and another to feel safe and comfortable when out in the world, leading him to call a garden centre to double check the plant he bought is old enough. Will it have charged up with spirit power to an appropriate level for charming creatives of that are either lifestock or pets? And will he finally discover the one true definitive secret to unlocking collaborative practice? there's only one way to find out!

Hark and Boo!
Welcome to I Pod a Spell On You - Edy Hurst's Wonderfull Discoverie of Witches Podcast, the show where we speak with Disabled and Neurodivergent Artists from across the industry and use magic, spell and best guesses from pre-1700s literature to help solve all their (and our) problems.
In our inaugural episode Edy Hurst, comedian, martian fighter and now magic botherer, makes a grand discoverie about his family. Starting on his spirit quest, Edy speaks with contemporary witch and acclaimed writer, Jennifer Lane to learn more about his newfound powers and provide her with a much needed solution to being possessed by the dreaded social media doomscroll.
Jennifer Lane is an author and green witch based in Lancashire. Her first two books, The Wheel: A Witch’s Path to Healing Through Nature (September Publishing, 2021) and The Witch’s Survival Guide: Spells for Healing From Stress and Burnout (2023), focused on how witchcraft and Paganism can bring us back in touch with the natural world.
In 2018, she won the Northern Writers’ Award for her fiction and she has been published by The Observer, Vogue, RSPB, The Wildlife Trusts, and BBC.
