We discuss what it takes to fight for the rights of others against all odds and his anti-corruption work. Hamzy is an activist who has successfully led grassroots campaigns in over 40 African countries. He is also the Chief Executive of Connected Development (CODE), a local NGO he founded in 2012 dedicated to helping the continent achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Apolitical recognized Hamzy as one of the world’s 100 most influential people in digital government in 2018 and 2019. He was also recognized amongst the 100 most influential people in Africa in 2019. His movement, Follow The Money won United Nations SDG Action Award as Mobilizer 2019 and he won the 2019 Future Africa Award under ‘Advocacy’ category.
