#E63 Unlocking The Full Potential of Our Brains, With Reza Hosseini Ghomi

“AI today is modeled on the human brain, and look how powerful it's become. You have to wonder, is AI surpassing us because it's tapping into the full potential of our neural design, while we humans are still far from realizing what we're truly capable of?”

On this episode of HYPERSCALE, I am joined by Reza Hosseini Ghomi, a neuropsychiatrist specializing in dementia and brain health, cancer survivor, and advocate for early intervention in cognitive decline. Reza combines his engineering background with medical expertise to push the boundaries of what we know about the human brain and its untapped potential.

#E62 How to Reinvent Yourself for the Future of Work, With Dr. Selina Neri

"Those of us who learn to live with AI in a world of work where humans and machines co-exist will replace human beings who don't learn or don't want to learn."

On this episode of HYPERSCALE, I sit down with Dr. Selina Neri for a powerful conversation about preparing ourselves for a rapidly evolving future.

From her journey as a "woman of many lives" who pivoted from tech to luxury to hospitality to academia, Dr. Selina shares invaluable insights on why future readiness is more than about skills, it's about understanding yourself, your values, and what truly motivates you.

We dive deep into why the UAE is positioning itself as a global AI leader, how Gen Z is reshaping workplace expectations, and why the traditional path of "education, career, retirement" is becoming disrupted.

Her message? Where you come from doesn't define where you go. And in a world of AI and constant change, the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn is your greatest superpower.

#E61 Unlocking Longevity: Dr. Jaffer Khan on Living to 150 Years

"We've been making people beautiful on the outside... but what about their internal cellular health?

When you see people who are a little bit older, you notice changes in the skin that despite what you do, you can't really change it back to where it was."

On this episode of HYPERSCALE, I am joined by Dr. Jaffer Khan, Medical Director of Eon Clinic and a pioneering longevity specialist who transitioned from aesthetic plastic surgery to focus on the future of regenerative medicine.

After decades of enhancing external beauty, Dr. Khan realized the key to true transformation lies at the cellular level. Now, he's at the forefront of a medical revolution that's shifting from "sick care" to genuine healthcare, using cutting-edge treatments like stem cell therapy, peptides, and advanced biohacking to help people not just live longer, but live better.

Join us as we explore why aging should be treated as a disease rather than an inevitability, the surprising truth about what's really making us inflamed and sick, why most doctors don't know about advanced longevity testing, and the remarkable story of an 80-year-old who had lost 90% of his liver function and achieved 90% recovery in just one year.

#E60 Using Space Research to Revolutionize Healthcare on Earth, With Kimberly Washington

"In microgravity, there is a very stressful environment that is placed on the body or even cells. And because of that stress, it helps us understand and study diseases at a very fast pace. And it's a really unique environment because when you remove the gravity, the cells form a 3D structure."

On this episode of HYPERSCALE, I am joined by Kimberly Washington, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Deep Space Biology, a pioneering company leveraging AI and microgravity research to accelerate health discoveries on Earth.

Deep Space Biology has spent three years collaborating with NASA Gene Lab to standardize 25 years of microgravity research data. Their innovative approach is helping to transform how we study diseases and develop treatments.

Join us as we explore how the unique environment of space accelerates medical research, the development of digital twins for disease modeling, the challenges women face in the space sector, and Kimberly's foundation "Space for Girls" that's empowering the next generation of female space leaders.

#E59 Finding Hope and Breaking Patterns in a Technological World With Sundar Raman

"I am both incredibly hopeful and incredibly scared of where we're going and maybe that's always the case, maybe we've always lived at that intersection."

On this episode of HYPERSCALE, I am joined by Sundar Raman for our second conversation on the show. What began as a five-hour chat weeks ago continues as we explore the intersection of technology, humanity, and hope.

Sundar brings a refreshingly nuanced perspective on our technological future, seeing beyond just digital devices to encompass everything from pencils and paper to seeds and spices as forms of technology. We discuss how to break out of our daily "ruts," the value of embracing childlike curiosity, and why we must reject conformity to truly innovate.

Join us as we explore how introducing novelty and "silliness" into our lives can combat loneliness, why self-expression matters, and how we might reimagine education to unlock human potential. This conversation offers a thoughtful look at finding hope and connection in an increasingly complex world.

#E49 How Do We Create An Environment That Boosts Longevity? With Tina Woods

“So that's a sick care model… built around treating you when you're sick. And all the institutions and interests around that are propped up actually by chronic diseases. That's the problem. It's the whole incentive structures that are misaligned. And they're perversely against you,”

said Tina Woods, the Founder and CEO of Collider Health, and the Co-Founder and CEO of Longevity International.

She is a renowned advocate for improving health parity and longevity who brings diverse stakeholders together in shared endeavors to improve and level up health, working at the cross-section of science, technology, investment, and policy/government.

#E47 Will AI Bring About The End Of Humanity? With Theo Priestley & Beth Singler

“We're not going to get a Skynet. I think the James Cameron-sort of future of one all-seeing, all-knowing and essentially the existential threat that the government seems to want to paint a picture of, it's not going to happen.”

On this special EMERGENCY episode of HYPERSCALE, I am joined by Professor Beth Singler and Futurist and Author Theo Priestley, who have joined me to discuss the government-commissioned report recently published in Time magazine, warning that AI poses an extinction-level threat to humanity.

The three authors of the report worked on it for more than a year, speaking with more than 200 government employees, experts, and workers at frontier AI companies—like OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Anthropic and Meta— as part of their research.

Are these fears justified? We need to educate people about the true potential, and threat, of AI, which can be hard to do given how most of humanity is busy surviving one day at a time, often giving up their privacy and autonomy for the sake of convenience.

Join us for an introspective conversation where we explore the timeliness of this report, what it means, why it shouldn’t necessarily be taken at face value, the actual risks posed by AI, the importance of holding AI developers accountable, and more on this episode of HYPERSCALE.

#E46 A Good Future is a Future That is Inclusive, With Biljana Markova

“First we make technology, then technology makes us.”

On this special International Women’s Day episode of HYPERSCALE, I am joined by Biljana Markova, an eco-luxury entrepreneur, animal and social activist, and one of my dearest friends.

Above, she paraphrased the famous saying: “First we shape our tools, thereafter our tools shape us,” noting the importance of being proactive and considerate of how we design technology today, as the mindset (with all its biases and limitations) that creates tomorrow’s solutions will be the same one that dictates how our technology will influence us. If one gender or one race designs the AI that will govern our future, how will this reflect on all the different people who do not share this person’s gender and race? It is questions like these that remind us of the importance of diversity at the tech roundtables and the highest boardrooms.

“I think we are at a point where if we don't wake up now, if we don't develop our human [conscience] quickly, if we don't become wiser, then we will use our technology to destroy ourselves versus using our technology to live in a utopia, to reach that higher state of awareness and consciousness and enlightenment that we are on a path to reach.”

Join us for an introspective and philosophical conversation where we explore women’s role in an ever-evolving world of technological innovation, the importance of diverse voices convening today to shape a more inclusive tomorrow, and why we urgently need to equalize the playing field in terms of equality and inclusivity, as what we do now will define our reality in the years to come.

#E45 What Makes Briar Tick? Understanding the Mindset of a Futurist

“Over the years. I've really had to evolve my sense of self as an entrepreneur. Quite quickly it went from being me, myself, and I on the dining room table with the business to managing a large international team. I've had to go from saying yes to everything to no to most things. And that's perfectly okay, and you should do that. Our time is literally the greatest asset that we have.”

I invited you all to share your questions with me on social media, and all topics were fair game. 😉 So, in this episode, you will see me discuss everything from how I keep fit when I’m traveling and living between New York and Dubai, my favorite easy recipes for longevity, why I want to go to Mars, Ozempic, why I closed my suit label, metaverse fashion, CEO executive branding, starting a biz on the dining room table to managing an international team, ‘freezing’ my body with cryonics to ‘live forever’, and my existential questions about an afterlife... I have bared it all.

Tune in for a candid view into how I got to where I am today, and why I am on this journey of discovery and learning.
