How To Be A Dad
6. The 'Advice' Episode
The most misguidedly-titled of all the episodes. The one thing that unites all the Dads in this series - or throughout history - is that we’re all just giving it a go. For Dave C, being careful not to swear infront of his little ones is something he can only pass on in hindsight; for Shane, it’s coming to terms with maybe being a superhero in your child’s eyes. But... Sarah Ockwell-Smith is a child psychologist and author who offers some actual, refined Advice on the Advice Episode of the How To Be A Dad Podcast. Why on earth are women called The Fairer Sex when your partner’s body has spent 9 months growing a human being which she is now bringing into the world as you’re wondering where’s best to stand without getting in the way!?!? From the raw emotion of not knowing if your baby is okay, to the pastry products that James discovered are acceptable on a labour ward: this is The Labour ep. In this episode, you’ll hear how us men have it so much easier than women; it's of course, still an anxious time for Dads-to-be. (Unless you’re Shane. Shane went dancing on a cruise ship…) More experiences to hear from in The Pregnancy Episode of the How To Be A Dad Podcast.
