Living Post: The Kind of Mom I Want to Be

We all have the same goal of being a "good mom". There's no question. I (Erin) have yet to meet a mother who's goal was to do a bad job at parenting! One of the most transformational practices I've implemented over the past several months was to CAST a VISION for the kind of Mom I want to be. I wrote down 18 points that, when my 4 children are all grown, I prayerfully hope they say of me. I keep this tucked into my Bible and reflect and pray over it each day. It sets a tone for humility, presence, and a "people before tasks" mentality in our home.

Living Post: Cultivating the Perfect Homeschool
Amazing homeschool experiences are not impossible. However, there are certain steps and mindsets that can either set us up for success... or leave us heading straight for frustration and failure. It may sound ridiculous to say that you can having a "perfect homeschool," but I promise that this is not ridiculous or unattainable.  You can read this post in print and find more like it at: https://www.lifeabundantlyblog.com/lifeabundantlyblog/the-perfect-homeschool-curriculum

Homeschooling with Grace
The Sanctification Found in Home Education

One of the most unanticipated (sometimes overwhelming), but always good aspects of educating our children at home can be the amount of sin we constantly confront- not just in our children- but in ourselves.

Pride, comparison, laziness, anger... it can all crop up in ways we would never imagine when big sinners spend day-in and day-out educating their little sinners. Unfortunately (or fortunately!), our children often develop into little mirrors of our own iniquity.

Join Hayley and Erin in a frank exploration into the many sins that homeschool moms confront in themselves on a daily basis along with the importance of habits and the ultimate authority of Christ in redeeming us through this calling.
