Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.
This week, we begin by discussing the recent hires the Mets have made to their coaching staff and other coaches who are leaving the organization. We also talk Tarik Skubal trade rumors, which are very exciting indeed.
Next, we talk about Bryce Harper’s reaction to Dave Dombrowski’s recent comments, the mess that is the Angels organization, and another sports betting scandal. We also celebrate the unveiling of the first four WPBL teams, of which New York will be one.
Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
