This podcast explores the unique link between hip hop and mental health, substance abuse and social justice issues from the perspective of a clinical social worker. I want to change the narrative of hip hop as “toxic” and re-frame it to promote healing and wellness through a variety of songs. My hope is that this podcast will help you understand mental health concepts and heal your traumas through the lens of hip hop music.
