Kate is breaking down the crucially important difference between supportive compassionate helping, and enabling bad behavior.
There is a blurry line between the two that is often complicated by personal and caring relationships. But it is a slippery slope, and while no one ever intends to enable behavior in another that is unhealthy, supportive helping can turn into enabling behavior.

In this episode we are asking the question - How Do You Know if You're Heading in the Wrong Direction in Life? What are the signs you can rely on, and how can you check in with yourself to see if you re-route.
Host, Kate Snowise, talks about having to go-back on a recent decision about a direction she was hell-bent on taking. She talks about going through three phases:
Kate offers some questions that she asked herself. These are:
Journalling on these questions helped Kate identify that she need to re-route and adjust course, moving away from a vision she had in her head and onto another path. If Life is a School, then ultimately we're here to learn lessons. And how do we know if we've mastered a lesson? The Universe inevitably has to offer us a test. So how can we check in with ourselves and work out with we're facing tests or opportunities?
In this episode, Kate goes over three "rules for life" that are from Dr. Cherie Carter Scott. She then offers three areas of inquiry from Lacy Phillips (from To Be Magnetic) that can help us really check in with ourselves and see whether we're facing a test, an opportunity or possibly even a bridge to the future we desire.
