36. What kind of job seeker are you? Insights from attachment theory
In this episode of Her Leading Story, Julie continues the discussion on job search strategies by examining how past clients have approached a career pivot in very different ways.
Julie explores how attachment theory from the field of psychology could shed light on these different approaches. For example, some clients approach the job search from an anxious stance, which shows up as perfectionism and overwork. Other clients tend to avoid parts of an effective job search strategy - such as networking or customizing their resume to each job posting.
