Highlight – Exodus 22:28 New Living Translation
28 “You must not dishonor God or curse any of your rulers.
Explain – Moses shared God’s regulations that said not dishonor God or curse any of your rulers.
Apply – We are not to dishonor God or curse any of our rulers. The Word of God says for us to pray for our rulers, to pray for anyone that would persecute us. All of this can be avoided by making Jesus the Lord of your life, to abide in the Holy Spirit as He abides in you. Follow Him faithfully and obediently and you will commit no sin.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
Matthew 5:44 ESV But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Leviticus 19:18 ESV You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
Romans 12:14 ESV Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
John 13:34 ESV A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
1 Peter 3:9 ESV Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.

Romans 13:1-2 ESV Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Ephesians 6:12 ESV For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Respond – Lord, thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace. Help me Lord to be all that I can be in You and to others including leaders over me. Thank You for this amazing relationship that I share with You. I strive to follow You obediently and faithfully forever. I pray for any that do not know You, Lord. Amen.
