Tendinosis And Why Resting It Makes it Worse | Episode 15

Welcome back to another episode of The Healthy Lifestyles Podcast! In this week's episode, we are going to talk about tendinosis. Tendinosis is a type of chronic pain caused by damage to tendons from either injury or overuse. This type of injury goes by many names such as tennis elbow, De Quervain's disease, jumper's knee, runner's knee, shoulder impingement or general tendinopathy. When people have tendinosis, they are often told to rest their injury when in reality resting it may cause more harm than good. In this episode, Nick Hunter (PT, DPT) will discuss what tendinosis is and what can be done to treat it.
