During Episode 8 of the podcast I am chatting to Craig Hannigan, the co-founder of Good Time Running Club. We dive into how he started running, growing a thriving running community with a close friend, and some of his favourite memories and moments with GTRC.
This is my second 'training updates' episode where I talk about how training has been going since the last update and the running I have been doing. This episode reflects on the past six weeks of training, running my 5km personal best and my longest runs in six months. I remind myself how solo episodes do not need to be scary and how time seems to be flying at the moment.
For this week's episode I am joined with Susie and Bethany (2/3 members of 'The Witches') to talk about our favourite running memories together, how we met and our plan for running and crewing the Arc of Attrition. Disclaimer: we do love each other our friendship is based on sarcasm and making each other cry :)
In this episode, I sit down with my friend Kath, who’s not only a passionate fitness gal but also a qualified dietitian. We chat all about the importance of fuelling yourself properly when running—why it matters and the difference it can make to your training and recovery.
Kath shares insights from her work as a dietitian, breaking down what she does day-to-day and we also swap stories about what has worked for us personally, and why most of us could probably benefit from simply eating more.
In this episode I am solo! I talk about what training has looked like for me over the past three or so weeks as I begin training for UTMB Arc of Attrition. The episode talks about how the start of training hasn't been how I would of liked but the importance of being flexible and kind to myself when this happens. I talk about going vegan again after years of eating meat and the silly falls I seem to keep doing while training.
On the third episode of 'Hartfelt Miles' I am joined with Caitlin and Paddy to recap the South Downs Way 100 mile race in June 2025. Paddy completed this race incredibly and talks about the joy he found out on the trails, how he kept going despite an injury and what his training looked like. On the other hand, Caitlin highlights what it is like to support crew somebody through a 100 miler race, the section she completed with Paddy and the fun she had along the way.
On todays episode of 'Hartfelt Miles' I am joined with my friend Bethany Walsh, an ultra runner who I met through the running community in Edinburgh. We talk about Bethany's running experience, our love for Jasmin Paris, her possible hallucinations and our silly running goals. We dive deep into her thoughts on various races she has completed including Lakeland 50, our favourite checkpoint snacks, marshalling and our plan for the UTMB Arc of Attrition 2026.
In my first ever episode of 'Hartfelt Miles' I am kicking things off by sharing my running journey from when I started running in 2019 to now. I share my journey of downloading couch to 5km , crossing the finish line of my first marathon and recently shuffling through my first 100 miler. I'll cover what drew me to running, what kept me going and where I am headed in the future.
