#46 Haptics in VR with Denny Unger, CEO of Cloudhead Games.

Denny Unger serves as both the CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Cloudhead Games, a company established in 2012. Cloudhead Games has made its mark in the virtual reality (VR) industry by releasing four notable VR titles, including Pistol Whip, Valve Aperture Hand Labs, Call of the Starseed, and Heart of the Emberstone. Their innovative approach to VR has led to the adoption of two widely recognized movement standards: VR Comfort Mode/Snap Turns and Blink Teleportation.

Collaborating closely with leading VR hardware companies such as META, Valve, Sony, and HTC, Cloudhead Games continues to push the boundaries of VR technology, contributing to its evolution and providing both information and entertainment to the VR community.

“Gains pushing current VR tech/constraints are diminishing. Meaningful VR "2.0" is about low-friction body tracking & haptics.” - Denny on Twitter/X.
