Sujata is joined by the wonderful and effervescent company of her good friend Janet Sosna on this edition of Hangout with Sujata. Janet Ruth Sosna, DC, CCSP, is the longest practicing chiropractor in Singapore and is considered one of the pioneers of the chiropractic profession in the Asian region. She is one of the founding professional members and a past-president of The Chiropractic Association (Singapore). She is also considered a leader in the profession in Asia and served as president of the Asia - Pacific Chiropractic Doctors' Federation, a regional grouping of national chiropractic associations, from 2007 -2015.
In 2013, she embarked on a project to open a pioneer clinic in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which began treating patients in May 2014 and is the first full-time chiropractic centre in the country.
As well as her extensive clinical experience, her academic experience includes a 1-year clinical teaching post at Parker College of Chiropractic, Dallas, Texas, USA, and previous adjunct clinical faculty posts for intern supervision with several Australian and American chiropractic institutions. She has been an adjunct clinical lecturer at International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
A feminist since the age of 6, she has always been involved in women’s organisations. In Singapore, she is one of the longest active members of Singapore Business & Professional Women’s Organisations, where she is a past president and a current board member. She is the Immediate Past President of the Federation of Business & Professional Women (Singapore).
She is a naturalized Singapore citizen and was born and raised in New York.
She is an experienced public speaker, whose talks on chiropractic and other natural health topics are recognised to be both informative and entertaining.

Today's episode of Hangout with Sujata features the brilliant architect of a burgeoning international culinary empire; Simon Rogan. Simon is an internationally renowned, award-winning chef, recognised as one of the pioneers of the farm-to-table movement. In 2002, Simon opened his debut restaurant L’Enclume in The Lake District village of Cartmel, with a focus on hyperlocal and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant currently holds three Michelin stars, the top spot in the Good Food Guide and five AA Rosettes, as well as the top ranking in La Liste with Simon Rogan being the first British chef to achieve this. In 2017, Simon was recognised as the AA chef of the year, and is currently vice president of the Bocuse d'Or UK team.Simon opened Rogan & Co, his second venture in Cartmel in 2008 which won its first Michelin star in 2018 and currently holds three AA Rosettes.
In 2016, Simon launched Aulis Cartmel, a six-seater chef’s table experience. In 2011, Simon established Our Farm in The Lakes, which provides the restaurant group with high quality, sustainable produce. A London outpost of Aulis arrived in October 2017 as a stand-alone dining destination, a twelve-seater chefs table experience in central Soho. Simon expanded his restaurant portfolio to Hong Kong, opening Aulis in January 2019 and Roganic in February 2019. Roganic Hong Kong was awarded its first Michelin star in December 2019. Simon opened Henrock in October 2019, an informally elegant restaurant set within Linthwaite House, a contemporary country house hotel in the heart of the Lake District.
In 2020, in response to the global pandemic, the group launched Home by Simon Rogan, Simon's delivery offering, providing regularly changing three-course 'at home' dining experiences created in The Lakes. In 2021, Simon's efforts towards sustainability were recognised with the newly introduced Michelin green star, awarded to both L'Enclume and Roganic Hong Kong. In 2022, Simon opened a Hong Kong-based bakery and natural wine bar The Baker & The Bottleman. L'Enclume was awarded its third Michelin star, the first restaurant in the north of England to do so. This coincided with the group celebrating 20 years since Simon opened L'Enclume.
In early 2023, he expanded his portfolio to Valletta, Malta with the opening of ION Harbour by Simon Rogan. This was followed by an expansion into Thailand with the opening of Aulis Phuket in December of the same year.

Sujata is back with a special guest for another episode of Hangout with Sujata. Chutintorn Sam GONGSAKDI, or simply known as Sam, most recently served as Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore culminating a remarkable 40 years of Foreign Service.
During his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sam served as the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand responsible for multilateral cooperation. His past professional experience has mostly been in multilateral and regional economic diplomacy, including ASEAN, APEC, OECD and WTO. He was seconded to the APEC Secretariat in Singapore during 2001-2004. As Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of India during 2017-2020, his objective was to strengthen the Thailand-ASEAN-India relationship in all its dimensions.
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Victoria University, New Zealand and a Master of International Studies degree from Birmingham University, the United Kingdom.

On today's episode of Hangout with Sujata, Diane Arthur joins Sujata to share her special story. Diane in her own words: "I am 49 but going to be 50 on July 26! I am the oldest of identical twins and my identical twin her name is Dione F Arthur! We were born with a first dissect which I call are super power and it is called aniridia which means no iris! I could see quite a bit growing up but as I’ve gotten older my eyes have gotten worse! I married once right out of high school but it lasted only 2 1/2 years! In those 2 1/2 years of marriage I met my daughters father William. We started dating a year after my divorce was over with in 95 ! I then got pregnant in March 1997 and had my daughter in December 1997! She ended up with the same birthday fact super power aniridia that my sister and I both have! William helped raise her till the age of 3 1/2 up north in Ohio until he decided to leave us for someone else! So from 3 1/2 years of age I raised her all by myself with a little bit of help from my parents down in Florida where my daughter Victoria and I moved back to! Things were good until the age of 16 when my sister died then that’s when things changed in my home and Victoria started having lots of problems! I eventually at the age of her being 22 I had to put her in a group home! Now that my daughter is not here I am trying to deal with my sisters death and also the change in My Home without my daughter being here! I go to Clubhouse to connect with people and to share my sister story and how I celebrate her by singing to her every day! Diane's playlist:

As Founder and CEO of Karlene Millwood International, she helps her clients overcome the obstacles to take their business from idea to production by boosting their confidence and helping them to strategize a clear vision and action plan. Karlene is a well-rounded leader, having previously managed corporate teams and projects, co-chaired the Women’s Internal Support Network (WISN) at the Toronto Police Service for two years, led the women’s ministry at her church and led various community initiatives. Karlene independently authored four books, collaborated on another two and created several courses and ebooks focused on Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Creative Writing. As a playwright and filmmaker, she wrote, directed and produced her first play, Forgiven, in 2014 and completed writing her second play, Diamond Life, in 2018. A pilot by profession and actor by choice, Thakur became a household name in Indian cinema with his portrayal of Dhritarashtra in the 2013 TV series Mahabharat.
