This episode centers around William, whose software company aims to disrupt the way compensation is negotiated.  FairlyEven is software built to prevent unfair compensation by ensuring that freelancers and contractors are paid the wage they deserve.  At its core, FairlyEven uses a market algorithm to assist with setting fair compensation while providing current market trends as evidence.

In this episode, we meet Shauna Hepburn, owner of Josephine Joy Candles.  Inspired by her Grandmother coupled with her Caribbean background Shauna created a candle business to inspire and teach her daughter about entrepreneurship.  Josephine Joy candles are unique in that provide scents with Caribbean notes.

Rowling wrote Harry Potter through a turbulent time in her life including death and divorce.  Likewise, Shambrekía was able to author two books after battling through major life events. This is a story of how persevering through struggle and consequences can be channeled into something great.

This spotlight features Deborah Davis owner of the Textures of the Soul, a leather craftsmanship company. The life of an entrepreneur is an emotional roller coaster constantly taking its toll on your mental health. There are always extreme highs and lows and Deborah’s story is no different. As a serial entrepreneur, Deborah was faced with this exact thing but was able to transform this bout into an outlet that would turn out to be her greatest business venture of all.

Katryna, a front line worker, became furloughed in March of 2020 and found herself at home, like many parents, with a house full of children on quarantine. As the days turned to weeks, Katryna's normally active children began to go stir crazy. Gone were the days of being on the go, participating in countless outdoor activities, and social gatherings.  Katryna knew she had to do something to keep them occupied, but little did she know a hobby would turn into a full-scale business for their family.
