Right now we are seeing a once in a lifetime event. The main threat is our medical systems becoming swamped due to the exponential rise in people needing to be hospitalised all at once. Some experts believe 50% or more of the population will get the virus at some point. Of those 15% or more will need a hospital bed. This is going to push our medical services to the limit.
